Mahjong is a hobby of mine. I've taught several dozen people how to play and organized tournaments in my city. Playing for modest stakes has afforded me the ability to buy several sets and tables from my winnings. Like backgammon or poker, despite there being elements of chance involved, playing mahjong for stakes is not gambling because it is fundamentally a game of skill.
People mentioned wanting to play sometime during the last stream. Some of the gikos like to play Mahjong so it shouldn't be that hard between Deluoode and Giko to round up 4 people to play us some dominoes. I would heavily encourage novice players to consider the Zung Jung variant because it's the easiest to learn, play, and score; that being said, I'm personally open to Riichi games and have this link to share to help Riichi players improve their game: https://anon.to/?https://repo.riichi.mo ... s-strategy
It would be fun to voice call during a game (mumble? giko?) but no biggy if not.
@Cidoku is a riichi. Maybe he could help expand on the article or share resources for interested mahjongers...?
