Thread for posting your 3x3s for whatever mediums you want to post about, though I'm sure the two most popular here will probably be anime and vidya. In order to keep the thread interesting and not just drive-by replies, please reply to others and try to rate stuff/recommend things based on their chart/talk with them about things in their grids! The most common ways of rating are by either doing (what i liked) out of (total items on chart; IE 4/9) or in a format like

+ - /
+ //
- - +

with + meaning liked, - meaning disliked and / not experienced.

Anyway here's my chart(s), you can make them through a site like Topsters (simple drag and drop) or by editing them by hand like I did. I decided to do one for video games and anime for now. Might do one for music and anime characters later.

I really need to watch Otaku no Video. Haibane and Fist of the North Star too, but especially Otaku no Video. A look into otaku culture in the early 90s sounds fascinating. Maybe we could stream that sometime

You really should watch Otaku No Video. It’s probably, in my opinion, Gainax’s best work. It’s also kind of sad, considering how much the anime medium has changed over 25 years. Nowadays, we have celebrities and streamers faking their knowledge of anime to seem cool and to fit in…

But besides that, I’m curious about Haruhi. What is it that you don’t like about the one true goddess?

But besides that, I’m curious about Haruhi. What is it that you don’t like about the one true goddess?

I used a ~ there, not a - to be clear. ~ basically just means that I've seen it and thought it was middling, but not that it was bad. As for why it's been a pretty long time since I saw it so my memory isn't the best but I don't remember finding the non-Haruhi cast very endearing I suppose and the humour didn't quite click. I respect the legacy that the show has left and like the art style however.

Just bee yourself, nothing wrong with duplicate selections here or there. I'd be more surprised if there weren't some taste overlap here if anything.

Now for mine (note that for Maplestory, it is specifically old-school that I like, the newer versions of the game are ass):

Definitely do play Shenmue it's awesome, drags at times but it creates such a uniquely immersive atmosphere there's not much like it. As for your charts, I like CK3 and CSGO on the video games side though haven't played much else on there. Should probably try Rimworld sometime, looks like a great little autism simulator. For music I like Meteora and that Moe Shop EP; quite the combo there lol.

Pretty solid for the most part though I refuse to touch any Yuasa work cause I hate the artstyle soz. The S;G anime is a bit of a downgrade from the VN in my eyes hence it not cracking my chart (no Kurisu going on long screeds about physics? literally unwatchable.) but still pretty good and definitely one of the better VN adaptations out there.
