Thankfully Sena is on the scene now, something to note that I find funny is how she almost always has a Popsicle, like she's almost always munching down on one, its kind of cool, sort of how you know you have characters that always have a cigarette or cigar? That's the case with Sena, despite how childish it is it paradoxically helps really sell her attitude and coolness so to speak.

Interestingly they state that Sena's taking up an actual sword stance, makes me wonder if Sena has actually done stuff like sword-fighting, or she just, learned how to do that without any direct sword-fighting experience naturally. Or she's just, like that.

Wait, I just realized something, the guy she's aiming her sword towards, I think this guy has the thing, earlier Takumi found a patent for like a system a sort of mind-reading system as Takumi says,

This thing, I'm thinking this guy has some portable form of it, or at least a portable transmitter or signal repeater whatever that led to that insanely creepy crowd earlier.

Though, God this thing looks hella heavy, its a miracle he was able to even lug this thing onto his back to begin with with how big it looks. Another thing to note is the logo, that is 100% NOZOMI's logo, coupled with something I left unmentioned a while back, a seen with seemingly a NOZOMI higher ups meeting, its very clear they're in on this.

As much as I shit on the Base I won't lie all in all its honestly a pretty neat living space, all things considered, clear view of the sky, a lot of conveniences are pretty close, I think it'd be nice. It would fucking suck to be there if it rained though.

This is, heartwarming to see, as fucked as Takumi's life is, there has always been a part of him that wants to be better, glad I was told to give him a chance, love to see it. Thanks @NonoEnjoyer.

Also, there it is, the childhood story about the field trip. That's the main thing that gave me a hint about all this, I kind of brushed it off even though I knew it'd be important later, glad I didn't forget about that.

It's also, once again, very cute and heartwarming to see Rimi helping Takumi out, not much more to say, I just like seeing Rimi help out Takumi.

To be honest this is a really abrupt cutaway to NOZOMI I don't know what they were thinking this is really jarring, but anyways.

I actually tried the experiment he talked about in this moment but my monitor is a whole fucking tv so it was a bit awkward to do but yeah the ring does disappear.

Whoever this is mentions how deadspots will be how whatever Noah is, is able to create, I assume in this case, Delusions. My main question though is, that seems to only cover Sight, how will what Noah seeks to create account for Smell, Taste, and Touch?

This format is fun but man is it exhausting, I think I'll be switching back to the more postmortem style for Chapter 6, but regardless.

New character, Momose Katsuko, she doesn't seem like much but we'll see

The banter between her and Ban is nice, these two def go a little ways back. Reminds me of when my grandpa finds one of his many friends when he's out and about, anyways.

Looking into the GE rate is risky, huh? Seems like it might have something to do with how those NOZOMI devices work, maybe they leave a trace of screwed up gravity whenever they're active?

Holy shit I totally glossed over the victim of the Crucifixion, that... kind of explains a lot, given the NOZOMI guy I saw a while ago at Miyashita Park I take it at least some of the victims had learned of something they shouldn't have, maybe in relation to VR and GE Rate?

Though that doesn't explain the Group Dive, no clue how 5 high schoolers would figure out anything regarding that stuff, or why Shogun was even there to begin with given that I don't see him working with NOZOMI.

Be honest with me—is it really possible for biorhythms to make people go insane? To drive them to murder?

I wouldn't doubt it, but judging from a simple glance at the wikipedia page for Biorhythms, it might depend on which part of the rhythm they're on at that point in time, around the Emotional Cycle part.

And what do you think would happen if the biorhythm curve increased by a power greater than a full moon?

Depends on the axis it increases the curve at, though no clue if that's a factor for this, I only just searched up Biorhythms right now. If increased vertically, then what Ban says about stimulation would happen, if horizontally, then wouldn't that just extend the lengths of the cycles? Regardless.

Something big too is that a political party seems to have ties to Professor Ota's death, the Meiwa Party, makes me wonder if anyone is giving NOZOMI a funding boost from the sidelines.

More pressingly however, the sky has turned a pure white. It seems like someone has made their move now.

Overall, I quite like this chapter, the moments with Rimi were really cute, and the mystery has started to really kick into gear what with the ending, things have fallen into place and I am itching to see where this goes.

Commencing report No.6 on Chapter 6!

I didn't expect to write this one so soon after chapter 5, though while this was a much shorter chapter than the previous, it was one hell of a ride from start to finish.

We kick off immediately following the sky going pale, Ban is in a critical meeting with the rest of the force but Suwa is nowhere to be found. This pisses of Ban, as he gives the kid a call. Initially I thought someone had gotten to Suwa but no it seems like he was fucking around god knows where as the signal is worse than shit on the other end, though.

Given what happens next, its safe to assume the shit signal was less because of Suwa taking a wierd route to his destination, and more of a very late sign of whats about to happen; as an earthquake strikes the police station, and this is a strong fucking earthquake, we see later that it completely topples Takumi's bed.

Regardless, the earthquake isn't the only strange occurrence, it looks like several officers die of splitting headaches in the Chaos(;Head NoAH). I think Ban was also affected but I could just be misreading.

Following this intro we cut back to Takumi, who previously was knocked out cold by the horrific headache that hit him from that call back in Chapter 5. He wakes up but his PC seems bricked, and after a bit of justified tweaking and forgetting how MMO save data works, he gets a message from who else? Shogun's back, and a lot more antagonistic this time. Takumi doesn't really focus on his messages right now the guy is pissing his pants and trying to find Rimi, as it seems like she's gone completely MIA.

In desperation, this leads Takumi to head out to Misumi in hopes of finding Rimi to reassure him, only to find... one of the scenes in this chapter that had me scared.

A crowd has gathered around, someone stands at the top of the roof, beyond the fences, a grim reminder of what can often happen, this far up. Her hair is a pale blue, arms outstretched, Di-sword in hand.

If you'll recall previously, FES had been doxxed on @chan, this. Coupled with the Earthquake that hit just hours ago, it seems like Ayase has lost hope. We get her perspective, the sky is red. As if hell has finally come to take the earth.

She stands there, reciting the prose seen on her page on the mental hospitals website. She laments the cruelty of people.

The world is laden with malicious delusions...

Everyone thrills of the misery of others.

.

Try as I might to close my eyes... to cover my ears... it is futile...

She asks one last question to greater will she clings to.

Are the Black Knights even real?

And then.
.

She jumps down.

Takumi can only watch, her fall made agonizingly slow, aimed straight for the concrete.
If only there was a flowerbed or something. If only there was something soft below her.

He averts his eyes, he shuts them off to the horror set to play out in front of him, but...

Unbeknownst to him, it seems like he managed to commit a dimensional slight of hand by accident as Ayase falls on a very out of place flowerbed.

This moment, was fucking great, I genuinely screamed out when she hit the ground, its such a strong moment both for Ayase and Takumi. I love it, unfortunately it gets ruined by the immediate cut to NOZOMI fucking around again, however, it is not entirely for naught, as the name of our great laboratory's dreaded arch-nemesis finally rears its despicable head! The Committee of 300!

NOZOMI is operating against the wishes of the 300 with whatever Noah is, and given what happened in Shibuya just hours ago, yeah, I wouldn't blame the Committee for going apeshit over this because this seems like a horrific breach in secrecy. Like, basically broadcasting "Hey the most evil shit ever is happening right fucking now guys look its so cool!" God, that cover up is going to cost trillions, they're lucky they took over the banks because they would go broke just planning a cover-up alone.

Anyway, we get Sena interrogating Takumi, I took the negative delusion for this one and yeah the aftermath isn't pretty. Thankfully, Sena doesn't seem to have it out for him, she probably has more pressing matters, like NOZOMI making more moves.

Honestly, much as I like Sena at base, she doesn't seem to be doing much outside of info dumping and aura farming. Not that I mind her being cool, I just wish she was doing more at this point of the story, but, who knows, maybe she'll finally be able to get some limelight next chapter.

Cut to AH Tokyo General Hospital, the place is crawling with patients, as expected, the casualties are over 100 apparently, which is terrifying. Whats worse is the hospital is understaffed, on top of losing a doctor as part of NewGen. Poor bastards.

Anyway, the Nurse from Takumi's checkup back in I think Chapter 2? Hazuki, yeah, she gets jumpscared by Suwa, turns out he's looking to get Takumi's medical record for the case, of course, this violates Patient Confidentiality, but like, shits going down, might as well.

Cut back to Takumi, still hoping Rimi might come in clutch, his phone even buzzes with a message but it turns out its just Nanami. Interestingly, the quake seems localized to Shibuya, on top of that, the event caused anything magnetic to go kaput, explains Suwa's bad connection at the start of the chapter. Anyway, no one seems to now shit about how the this all even happened, expected but, still sad to see.

We then cut back to AH Tokyo General Hospital, where we're reminded of the true scale of the damage. Interestingly enough, they're prioritizing patients who've been knocked out over the ones with more apparent physical trauma, its a bit a weird policy, I wonder if this order of things is actually accurate to this kind of disaster response in medical centers.

An ambulance comes in, carrying Ayase, the docs put her in a stretcher and bring her inside, as... Rimi... watches just outside the entrance to the hospital. Which is strange given how she's been AWOL since this kicked off, maybe a family member got caught up in the chaos and was hospitalized here? Honestly, I've got no clue.

Going back to Takumi, he's still lamenting Rimi's sudden absence when he checks his PC, seeing a mail from Nanami with the ever trendy "Whose eyes are those eyes?" as the title. The email is very much directly antagonistic towards Takumi, its kind of strange, the reading I got regarding Shogun up to this point was that he was a fairly aloof and kind of neutral but.. his recent behavior throughout these chapters has grown much more direct, much more hostile.

Anyways, bottom line is, he's got Nanami hostage, and he's seemingly mailed Nanami's severed forearm, bangle in and phone in hand.

But a quick word from our sponsors, NOZOMI.
This cut in is a lot less egregious than the previous NOZOMI cut in, these are still a bit jarring but this one has a very key detail, basically it seems to be an explanation on how Noah II is able to even do the trickery it does to begin with. As well, it seems like the Committee had a hand in trying to block/gatekeep NOZOMI's efforts into this research, as expected of their insipid machinations, I don't blame them though NOZOMI seems very irresponsible.

We also get an explanation as to who Porters are and how they function as a part of increasing Noah II's effective range, which I'll give them credit for.

Now then, we reach what is one of the coolest moments thusfar, Shogun, who's voice is.. a bit different this time around, which coupled with his switch up makes me wonder if Shogun even is Shogun at all here, but regardless, he has Takumi against the metaphorical wall, Nanami's life is in his hands.

The crowd below is cheering and hollering at him from down below, all of Shibuya is eyeing him down, all chanting those same accursed words, "Whose eyes are those eyes." Takumi is absolutely racked with anxiety not helped by Shogun pressuring him to try and grasp his Di-sword, while the imagined voice of Seira tries to make him bow out.

I think I took Neutral leading up to the moment that caught me off guard, the choices regarding the sword. I actually failed this and Takumi fell to his death the first time around cause I did the last answer wrong which was uhh... whoops. Next run through though, I managed to get it done, I went YES-YES-NO-NO-YES.

Taking a positive Delusion here, I actually thought I borked it as Seira managed to convince Takumi to just go back to the Base, but after loading back and checking the negative, it didn't lead to any game over so, we're all good.

Anyways, after bowing out, he gets a sudden delusion, one about her sister, kneeling, covered in blood, with some of it dripping from whats likely her severed hand creating a gruesome puddle. This delusion sends Takumi off the deep end and into rage, he charges at Shogun, and knocks the paraplegic bastard to the ground———except.

He's a lot lighter than expected? Takumi's on the ground, he tries to find man he knocked down, reaching out to touch a simple helmet, of I think a ripoff of Darth Vader, closing off the chapter there.

This one was a blast for how short it was, once again my favorite scene from this is Ayase's Descent but I feel like this one was a bit too short as they're just cramming in the fucking NOZOMI Slack group chat at weird times but all in all, I think its nice.

As I said before the door choice part caught me off guard, overall this chapter, for what it lacks in length, does a solid job of keeping you on your toes, especially with the final sequence, one hell of a closer. Can't wait to see more of this next chapter now that things have ramped up.

Commencing Report No.7 on Chapter 7 of Chaos;Head Noah!

After the roller coaster ride that was Chapter 6, Chapter 7 acts as our much needed aftermath following show at O-FRONT. Starting us off with Ban observing Sena take down another one of NOZOMI's Porters, witnessing first hand both the hidden hands at play and the strange powers at hand.

This is followed by a cut to Takumi, whom, following his failed awakening at O-FRONT, has a memory of Nanami. While I was never fully convinced that Nanami had died there atop O-FRONT, this was still a sad moment to see as Takumi shows his true thoughts on his sister, for as nagging as she was, she is one of the few people who actively cared and looked out for Takumi.

Yet, he has rejected her support at almost every turn of his life so far, as seen when he smacks away the tray full of curry, which, look man I don't care how shit Hospital food but c'mon that was curry that had to be a little good you know? Anyways.

Takumi wakes up in a hospital bed in a very, very monochrome room, and then we see what happened following him finding the Darth Spider costume where Shogun once was. He's suddenly swarmed by the press throwing question after question at him, back at this moment in Chapter 6 there was a whole damn crowd just below at the scramble watching him. I first thought it was a Delusion but seeing what happens after that unfortunately doesn't entirely turn out to be the case.

There's a Delusion Trigger here, I took the negative one. Which sees Takumi getting lambasted by Hazuki, fun.

Snap back to reality, Hazuki, his nurse, then tells him that someone came to visit him while he was out, though, Takumi is too busy lamenting and cursing himself over Nanami to fully process what she said, telling Hazuki that Nanami had died. This causes her a bit of Confusion as the person who came to visit called Takumi "Big Bro", and Takumi knows only one person in his life that'd call him that. That's right, Nanami is alive, which gives Takumi a wave of relief.

We then cut to Ban and Suwa as they're at another meeting at the precinct. Ban gets up to present some interesting evidence which puts into question the temporal consistency of the group dive, of course this is dismissed because while its a weird inconsistency its a bit too strange to really make use of, even Ban agrees, he's not even sure what that fact about the Group Dive would even mean for that murder.

Back to Takumi, he sneaks out of the Hospital and back to the base to check up on the Hand that Shogun had mailed him, but the damn thing seems to have completely disappeared, though interestingly the mail Shogun sent his way was still there.

This is when its confirmed that yes that show at O-FRONT did happen, which, shit. Not to mention he's been doxxed on @chan, making the man basically public enemy No.1 for the time being, worse still, another NewGen murder, bringing the case count to 6 so far. In spite of this though, Takumi is still desperately looking for Rimi so he still goes to school, bad choice, but to be honest what the hell can he even do at this point.

Anyways, the expected happens, his classmates shit on him and, as expected, Misumi is keeping his distance. Which, as much as I'm not happy about it I can see where he's coming from. This makes Takumi almost lose it and we get another Delusion, this time I took a positive one, because he definitely needed it. I expected this one to be a bit crazy but the ending was kind of funny, anyways.

After the Delusion, Takumi just starts fucking losing it, the kid's spiraling and spiraling and spiraling. He gets up from his seat, does his signature Chud laugh (seriously I don't know how his VA does such a good job at making sound like a Chud its one hell of a talent God bless you Hiroyuki Yoshino.) But, someone gives him a little bit of encouragement, from one mind to another, literally. The voice refers to itself as Kozupii, this makes it very clear who's giving him the Charles Xavier special, its Kozue.

Very happy to see her finally kick into the story, and later on in this Chapter they really let her hit the ground running, quickly become one of my favorites next to Sena and Ayase.

Now then, cutting back to the Gumshoe. Ban and Suwa take a visit to Momose, trying to hunt for more leads from the Scientific Angle. Momose has been tracking the GE rate of Shibuya over the past few years, something odd she points out is the spikes in GE rate, on holidays it totally dips but at two points the damn thing spikes, these spikes coincided with the small earthquake I mentioned a while ago back in Report No.05-3, and the recent SI5 Earthquake.

Not to mention the EM wave that knocked out most electronics, which both me and the trio of Ban, Suwa, and Momose here seem to agree played some part in the unusual number of deaths from this quake.

One thing they're sure of is that the quakes, both the one a while back and the one now were likely manmade, the question is, which man made it? Momose has no leads but Ban seems to have a hunch, though, to be honest, I wasn't able to figure out his question of who could benefit from a high GE Rate on Weekends.

Back with Takumi, he tries to find Rimi again, but to no avail. So he just goes out to go home.

There's a moment here where he pleads to whoever could be controlling him, to reset the game and give him a better start but... hey man, not much I can do from the chair here, that's just how it is.

Anyway, he bumps into some dudes who then proceed to jump him. However, someone comes in to get these guys off his back. Turns out, its Kozue! Though, in the middle of her giving these guys the smack down, we get a... dire, cut in.

Shogun sits in a hospital room, the golden glow of the afternoon creeping in from the window. Someone opens the door and lets themselves in.

It's Rimi... sad to say I wasn't entirely surprised, it seems her appearance at the Crucifixion was neither a delusion nor random chance. I'm more saddened, than anything. Rimi seems sad too, requesting permission to "erase" Takumi, but Shogun... refuses. He's not done with him yet and it seems like he has something he has to see through to the end, something that I assume will be bad for pretty much everybody, given Rimi's words following this.

Cut back to Takumi being rescued. We get a lot of time to figure out Kozue's deal as she helps Takumi along with recovering from the beating he was handed. Going to rest somewhere in ROFT, also, it turns out she was there at the O-FRONT show, heard everything Takumi was thinking.

Once inside Kozue decides to show off her awesome fucking slab of tungsten she calls a Di-sword, before the two rest on some empty stairway. We get some info into Di-swords and how they blend into the environment, later on we learn that it seems like that once spotted the shape of the Di-sword can be seen almost everywhere by the individual set to wield one. Like a form of pareidolia.

Other than that I have no fucking clue how to describe what Kozue means when she says she wished for the Di-sword, all I know is that she wants to kill and that's a very respectable wish.

After Takumi's understandable horror at this information though we get a cut to the close past, after Kozue moved to Tokyo.

The rain's falling like a motherfucker, just like how its raining hard right now as I write this, but she's walking down the street when she finds some homeless guy talking about the end of the world, at first this guy looks like Takumi but after a picture they take later on he more looks like Sena, I wonder what happened to her dad. Anyways, he seems to be accustomed to Kozues astral projectelepathy and gives her some good pieces of advice regarding the Di-sword, its all a bit vague but Kozue seems to innately actually understand it, I think I do too but I don't know if I can articulate it.

More importantly though, he tells Kozue, to keep out for

...the boy who birthed "Whose eyes are those eyes"

This unsettles Takumi and he GTFOs to Kozue's dismay, but she manages to catch up to him. There's also someone else, and it turns out to be Sena!

What follows next is both cute and critical, as Sena gives us the rundown on Gigalomaniacs, wielders of the Di-swords. She states that Gigalomaniacs are capable of interfering with the "Dirac sea", or a Ayase would put it, the "Transcendental Plane", the Dirac sea is also a real scientific model, although theoretical.

Essentially Gigalomaniacs use seem to use the Di-sword to, as Sena puts it, "expand the channel between ones Di-Sword and the Dirac sea" which let particles and anti-particles through that are converted into electronic signals and sent into peoples Dead Spots, which allows them to be perceived and recognized by others, letting a delusion become real.

At least that's my understanding of it I could have entirely misread this like an idiot but hey what happens happens.

Takumi also gets more hints on how he can fully acquire his Di-sword but that initial Gigalomaniac explanation took a lot out of me so I'll just try to skip over the explanations.

We get a few more cute moments, Takumi getting a "You win!" on his Popsicle stick, much to Sena's jealousy.

Then all 3 taking a cute picture together at a nearby arcade.

After Kozue departs, Sena also lets Takumi know about the moment Kozue got her Di-Sword, with some form of silent organized harassment as multiple people target her with mirrors Don Quixote style, culminating in her murking three of her classmates with her Di-sword, later asking herself in the mirror, "Who are you?" the question she was harassed with on top of the mirrors. Similar to a certain phrase regarding... "Eyes".

Then we get Takumi at school, along the way he spots Nanami, while he's glad she's alive and well he's been avoiding her cause he might bawl his eyes out, but he finds the courage to approach her, as he does though. Nanami adjusts her hair, and on her right hand, is a bandage. Ending off the chapter.

I will say, I am so fucking happy we got to see Sena, her and Kozue are really cute together and Kozue as of now, while being late into the story, is a really fun character, and has become one of my favorites among the cast.

Sena as well, seeing her more laid back makes me like her character a lot more, she's very focused, kind of non-chalant, and is very much plagued by resting bitch face which all combine to make her scary to approach but once we get to her she's basically like a proper big sibling, its nice.

The explanation on Gigalomaniacs is nice, I like the use of the Dirac sea and the parallels to how Ayase explained it back then.

I think there was also a NOZOMI cut in I forgot to mention with I think the central guy from the giggleshits meeting, he seems to have a Gigalomaniac on his side who I think is Nanami given the Gero Frog he throws into the bin, though now that I think about it there's a better chance it could be Yua, or her sister, Yua's been MIA for a while now so anything can happen with her.

That said, very solid follow up to Chapter 6.

It was too big to be called a sword... Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was like a heap of raw iron.

Kozue got her Di-Sword, with some form of silent organized harassment as multiple people target her with mirrors Don Quixote style, culminating in her murking three of her classmates with her Di-sword

It is now my personal headcanon that Quijote was a gigalomaniac. He just wasn't able to get his Di-sword.

I'll I'm going to say is, start getting prepared for chapter 8. Remember this phrase well, "Is the scenery your eyes perceive truly real?".

This format is fun but man is it exhausting, I think I'll be switching back to the more postmortem style for Chapter 6, but regardless.

New character, Momose Katsuko, she doesn't seem like much but we'll see

The banter between her and Ban is nice, these two def go a little ways back. Reminds me of when my grandpa finds one of his many friends when he's out and about, anyways.

Holy shit I totally glossed over the victim of the Crucifixion, that... kind of explains a lot, given the NOZOMI guy I saw a while ago at Miyashita Park I take it at least some of the victims had learned of something they shouldn't have, maybe in relation to VR and GE Rate?

Though that doesn't explain the Group Dive, no clue how 5 high schoolers would figure out anything regarding that stuff, or why Shogun was even there to begin with given that I don't see him working with NOZOMI.

I wouldn't doubt it, but judging from a simple glance at the wikipedia page for Biorhythms, it might depend on which part of the rhythm they're on at that point in time, around the Emotional Cycle part.



Depends on the axis it increases the curve at, though no clue if that's a factor for this, I only just searched up Biorhythms right now. If increased vertically, then what Ban says about stimulation would happen, if horizontally, then wouldn't that just extend the lengths of the cycles? Regardless.

More pressingly however, the sky has turned a pure white. It seems like someone has made their move now.

Overall, I quite like this chapter, the moments with Rimi were really cute, and the mystery has started to really kick into gear what with the ending, things have fallen into place and I am itching to see where this goes.

Commencing report No.6 on Chapter 6!

I didn't expect to write this one so soon after chapter 5, though while this was a much shorter chapter than the previous, it was one hell of a ride from start to finish.

We kick off immediately following the sky going pale, Ban is in a critical meeting with the rest of the force but Suwa is nowhere to be found. This pisses of Ban, as he gives the kid a call. Initially I thought someone had gotten to Suwa but no it seems like he was fucking around god knows where as the signal is worse than shit on the other end, though.

Given what happens next, its safe to assume the shit signal was less because of Suwa taking a wierd route to his destination, and more of a very late sign of whats about to happen; as an earthquake strikes the police station, and this is a strong fucking earthquake, we see later that it completely topples Takumi's bed.

Regardless, the earthquake isn't the only strange occurrence, it looks like several officers die of splitting headaches in the Chaos(;Head NoAH). I think Ban was also affected but I could just be misreading.

Following this intro we cut back to Takumi, who previously was knocked out cold by the horrific headache that hit him from that call back in Chapter 5. He wakes up but his PC seems bricked, and after a bit of justified tweaking and forgetting how MMO save data works, he gets a message from who else? Shogun's back, and a lot more antagonistic this time. Takumi doesn't really focus on his messages right now the guy is pissing his pants and trying to find Rimi, as it seems like she's gone completely MIA.

In desperation, this leads Takumi to head out to Misumi in hopes of finding Rimi to reassure him, only to find... one of the scenes in this chapter that had me scared.

A crowd has gathered around, someone stands at the top of the roof, beyond the fences, a grim reminder of what can often happen, this far up. Her hair is a pale blue, arms outstretched, Di-sword in hand.

If you'll recall previously, FES had been doxxed on @chan, this. Coupled with the Earthquake that hit just hours ago, it seems like Ayase has lost hope. We get her perspective, the sky is red. As if hell has finally come to take the earth.

She stands there, reciting the prose seen on her page on the mental hospitals website. She laments the cruelty of people.

The world is laden with malicious delusions...

Everyone thrills of the misery of others.

Try as I might to close my eyes... to cover my ears... it is futile...

She asks one last question to greater will she clings to.

Takumi can only watch, her fall made agonizingly slow, aimed straight for the concrete.
If only there was a flowerbed or something. If only there was something soft below her.

He averts his eyes, he shuts them off to the horror set to play out in front of him, but...

Unbeknownst to him, it seems like he managed to commit a dimensional slight of hand by accident as Ayase falls on a very out of place flowerbed.

This moment, was fucking great, I genuinely screamed out when she hit the ground, its such a strong moment both for Ayase and Takumi. I love it, unfortunately it gets ruined by the immediate cut to NOZOMI fucking around again, however, it is not entirely for naught, as the name of our great laboratory's dreaded arch-nemesis finally rears its despicable head! The Committee of 300!

NOZOMI is operating against the wishes of the 300 with whatever Noah is, and given what happened in Shibuya just hours ago, yeah, I wouldn't blame the Committee for going apeshit over this because this seems like a horrific breach in secrecy. Like, basically broadcasting "Hey the most evil shit ever is happening right fucking now guys look its so cool!" God, that cover up is going to cost trillions, they're lucky they took over the banks because they would go broke just planning a cover-up alone.

Anyway, we get Sena interrogating Takumi, I took the negative delusion for this one and yeah the aftermath isn't pretty. Thankfully, Sena doesn't seem to have it out for him, she probably has more pressing matters, like NOZOMI making more moves.

Honestly, much as I like Sena at base, she doesn't seem to be doing much outside of info dumping and aura farming. Not that I mind her being cool, I just wish she was doing more at this point of the story, but, who knows, maybe she'll finally be able to get some limelight next chapter.

Cut to AH Tokyo General Hospital, the place is crawling with patients, as expected, the casualties are over 100 apparently, which is terrifying. Whats worse is the hospital is understaffed, on top of losing a doctor as part of NewGen. Poor bastards.

Anyway, the Nurse from Takumi's checkup back in I think Chapter 2? Hazuki, yeah, she gets jumpscared by Suwa, turns out he's looking to get Takumi's medical record for the case, of course, this violates Patient Confidentiality, but like, shits going down, might as well.

Cut back to Takumi, still hoping Rimi might come in clutch, his phone even buzzes with a message but it turns out its just Nanami. Interestingly, the quake seems localized to Shibuya, on top of that, the event caused anything magnetic to go kaput, explains Suwa's bad connection at the start of the chapter. Anyway, no one seems to now shit about how the this all even happened, expected but, still sad to see.

We then cut back to AH Tokyo General Hospital, where we're reminded of the true scale of the damage. Interestingly enough, they're prioritizing patients who've been knocked out over the ones with more apparent physical trauma, its a bit a weird policy, I wonder if this order of things is actually accurate to this kind of disaster response in medical centers.

An ambulance comes in, carrying Ayase, the docs put her in a stretcher and bring her inside, as... Rimi... watches just outside the entrance to the hospital. Which is strange given how she's been AWOL since this kicked off, maybe a family member got caught up in the chaos and was hospitalized here? Honestly, I've got no clue.

Going back to Takumi, he's still lamenting Rimi's sudden absence when he checks his PC, seeing a mail from Nanami with the ever trendy "Whose eyes are those eyes?" as the title. The email is very much directly antagonistic towards Takumi, its kind of strange, the reading I got regarding Shogun up to this point was that he was a fairly aloof and kind of neutral but.. his recent behavior throughout these chapters has grown much more direct, much more hostile.

Anyways, bottom line is, he's got Nanami hostage, and he's seemingly mailed Nanami's severed forearm, bangle in and phone in hand.

But a quick word from our sponsors, NOZOMI.
This cut in is a lot less egregious than the previous NOZOMI cut in, these are still a bit jarring but this one has a very key detail, basically it seems to be an explanation on how Noah II is able to even do the trickery it does to begin with. As well, it seems like the Committee had a hand in trying to block/gatekeep NOZOMI's efforts into this research, as expected of their insipid machinations, I don't blame them though NOZOMI seems very irresponsible.

We also get an explanation as to who Porters are and how they function as a part of increasing Noah II's effective range, which I'll give them credit for.

Now then, we reach what is one of the coolest moments thusfar, Shogun, who's voice is.. a bit different this time around, which coupled with his switch up makes me wonder if Shogun even is Shogun at all here, but regardless, he has Takumi against the metaphorical wall, Nanami's life is in his hands.

The crowd below is cheering and hollering at him from down below, all of Shibuya is eyeing him down, all chanting those same accursed words, "Whose eyes are those eyes." Takumi is absolutely racked with anxiety not helped by Shogun pressuring him to try and grasp his Di-sword, while the imagined voice of Seira tries to make him bow out.

I think I took Neutral leading up to the moment that caught me off guard, the choices regarding the sword. I actually failed this and Takumi fell to his death the first time around cause I did the last answer wrong which was uhh... whoops. Next run through though, I managed to get it done, I went YES-YES-NO-NO-YES.

Taking a positive Delusion here, I actually thought I borked it as Seira managed to convince Takumi to just go back to the Base, but after loading back and checking the negative, it didn't lead to any game over so, we're all good.

Anyways, after bowing out, he gets a sudden delusion, one about her sister, kneeling, covered in blood, with some of it dripping from whats likely her severed hand creating a gruesome puddle. This delusion sends Takumi off the deep end and into rage, he charges at Shogun, and knocks the paraplegic bastard to the ground———except.

He's a lot lighter than expected? Takumi's on the ground, he tries to find man he knocked down, reaching out to touch a simple helmet, of I think a ripoff of Darth Vader, closing off the chapter there.

This one was a blast for how short it was, once again my favorite scene from this is Ayase's Descent but I feel like this one was a bit too short as they're just cramming in the fucking NOZOMI Slack group chat at weird times but all in all, I think its nice.

As I said before the door choice part caught me off guard, overall this chapter, for what it lacks in length, does a solid job of keeping you on your toes, especially with the final sequence, one hell of a closer. Can't wait to see more of this next chapter now that things have ramped up.

Commencing Report No.7 on Chapter 7 of Chaos;Head Noah!

After the roller coaster ride that was Chapter 6, Chapter 7 acts as our much needed aftermath following show at O-FRONT. Starting us off with Ban observing Sena take down another one of NOZOMI's Porters, witnessing first hand both the hidden hands at play and the strange powers at hand.

This is followed by a cut to Takumi, whom, following his failed awakening at O-FRONT, has a memory of Nanami. While I was never fully convinced that Nanami had died there atop O-FRONT, this was still a sad moment to see as Takumi shows his true thoughts on his sister, for as nagging as she was, she is one of the few people who actively cared and looked out for Takumi.

Yet, he has rejected her support at almost every turn of his life so far, as seen when he smacks away the tray full of curry, which, look man I don't care how shit Hospital food but c'mon that was curry that had to be a little good you know? Anyways.

Takumi wakes up in a hospital bed in a very, very monochrome room, and then we see what happened following him finding the Darth Spider costume where Shogun once was. He's suddenly swarmed by the press throwing question after question at him, back at this moment in Chapter 6 there was a whole damn crowd just below at the scramble watching him. I first thought it was a Delusion but seeing what happens after that unfortunately doesn't entirely turn out to be the case.

There's a Delusion Trigger here, I took the negative one. Which sees Takumi getting lambasted by Hazuki, fun.

Snap back to reality, Hazuki, his nurse, then tells him that someone came to visit him while he was out, though, Takumi is too busy lamenting and cursing himself over Nanami to fully process what she said, telling Hazuki that Nanami had died. This causes her a bit of Confusion as the person who came to visit called Takumi "Big Bro", and Takumi knows only one person in his life that'd call him that. That's right, Nanami is alive, which gives Takumi a wave of relief.

We then cut to Ban and Suwa as they're at another meeting at the precinct. Ban gets up to present some interesting evidence which puts into question the temporal consistency of the group dive, of course this is dismissed because while its a weird inconsistency its a bit too strange to really make use of, even Ban agrees, he's not even sure what that fact about the Group Dive would even mean for that murder.

Back to Takumi, he sneaks out of the Hospital and back to the base to check up on the Hand that Shogun had mailed him, but the damn thing seems to have completely disappeared, though interestingly the mail Shogun sent his way was still there.

This is when its confirmed that yes that show at O-FRONT did happen, which, shit. Not to mention he's been doxxed on @chan, making the man basically public enemy No.1 for the time being, worse still, another NewGen murder, bringing the case count to 6 so far. In spite of this though, Takumi is still desperately looking for Rimi so he still goes to school, bad choice, but to be honest what the hell can he even do at this point.

Anyways, the expected happens, his classmates shit on him and, as expected, Misumi is keeping his distance. Which, as much as I'm not happy about it I can see where he's coming from. This makes Takumi almost lose it and we get another Delusion, this time I took a positive one, because he definitely needed it. I expected this one to be a bit crazy but the ending was kind of funny, anyways.

After the Delusion, Takumi just starts fucking losing it, the kid's spiraling and spiraling and spiraling. He gets up from his seat, does his signature Chud laugh (seriously I don't know how his VA does such a good job at making sound like a Chud its one hell of a talent God bless you Hiroyuki Yoshino.) But, someone gives him a little bit of encouragement, from one mind to another, literally. The voice refers to itself as Kozupii, this makes it very clear who's giving him the Charles Xavier special, its Kozue.

Very happy to see her finally kick into the story, and later on in this Chapter they really let her hit the ground running, quickly become one of my favorites next to Sena and Ayase.

Now then, cutting back to the Gumshoe. Ban and Suwa take a visit to Momose, trying to hunt for more leads from the Scientific Angle. Momose has been tracking the GE rate of Shibuya over the past few years, something odd she points out is the spikes in GE rate, on holidays it totally dips but at two points the damn thing spikes, these spikes coincided with the small earthquake I mentioned a while ago back in Report No.05-3, and the recent SI5 Earthquake.

Not to mention the EM wave that knocked out most electronics, which both me and the trio of Ban, Suwa, and Momose here seem to agree played some part in the unusual number of deaths from this quake.

One thing they're sure of is that the quakes, both the one a while back and the one now were likely manmade, the question is, which man made it? Momose has no leads but Ban seems to have a hunch, though, to be honest, I wasn't able to figure out his question of who could benefit from a high GE Rate on Weekends.

Back with Takumi, he tries to find Rimi again, but to no avail. So he just goes out to go home.

There's a moment here where he pleads to whoever could be controlling him, to reset the game and give him a better start but... hey man, not much I can do from the chair here, that's just how it is.

Anyway, he bumps into some dudes who then proceed to jump him. However, someone comes in to get these guys off his back. Turns out, its Kozue! Though, in the middle of her giving these guys the smack down, we get a... dire, cut in.

Shogun sits in a hospital room, the golden glow of the afternoon creeping in from the window. Someone opens the door and lets themselves in.

It's Rimi... sad to say I wasn't entirely surprised, it seems her appearance at the Crucifixion was neither a delusion nor random chance. I'm more saddened, than anything. Rimi seems sad too, requesting permission to "erase" Takumi, but Shogun... refuses. He's not done with him yet and it seems like he has something he has to see through to the end, something that I assume will be bad for pretty much everybody, given Rimi's words following this.

Cut back to Takumi being rescued. We get a lot of time to figure out Kozue's deal as she helps Takumi along with recovering from the beating he was handed. Going to rest somewhere in ROFT, also, it turns out she was there at the O-FRONT show, heard everything Takumi was thinking.

Once inside Kozue decides to show off her awesome fucking slab of tungsten she calls a Di-sword, before the two rest on some empty stairway. We get some info into Di-swords and how they blend into the environment, later on we learn that it seems like that once spotted the shape of the Di-sword can be seen almost everywhere by the individual set to wield one. Like a form of pareidolia.

Other than that I have no fucking clue how to describe what Kozue means when she says she wished for the Di-sword, all I know is that she wants to kill and that's a very respectable wish.

After Takumi's understandable horror at this information though we get a cut to the close past, after Kozue moved to Tokyo.

The rain's falling like a motherfucker, just like how its raining hard right now as I write this, but she's walking down the street when she finds some homeless guy talking about the end of the world, at first this guy looks like Takumi but after a picture they take later on he more looks like Sena, I wonder what happened to her dad. Anyways, he seems to be accustomed to Kozues astral projectelepathy and gives her some good pieces of advice regarding the Di-sword, its all a bit vague but Kozue seems to innately actually understand it, I think I do too but I don't know if I can articulate it.

More importantly though, he tells Kozue, to keep out for

...the boy who birthed "Whose eyes are those eyes"

This unsettles Takumi and he GTFOs to Kozue's dismay, but she manages to catch up to him. There's also someone else, and it turns out to be Sena!

What follows next is both cute and critical, as Sena gives us the rundown on Gigalomaniacs, wielders of the Di-swords. She states that Gigalomaniacs are capable of interfering with the "Dirac sea", or a Ayase would put it, the "Transcendental Plane", the Dirac sea is also a real scientific model, although theoretical.

Essentially Gigalomaniacs use seem to use the Di-sword to, as Sena puts it, "expand the channel between ones Di-Sword and the Dirac sea" which let particles and anti-particles through that are converted into electronic signals and sent into peoples Dead Spots, which allows them to be perceived and recognized by others, letting a delusion become real.

At least that's my understanding of it I could have entirely misread this like an idiot but hey what happens happens.

Takumi also gets more hints on how he can fully acquire his Di-sword but that initial Gigalomaniac explanation took a lot out of me so I'll just try to skip over the explanations.

We get a few more cute moments, Takumi getting a "You win!" on his Popsicle stick, much to Sena's jealousy.

Then all 3 taking a cute picture together at a nearby arcade.

After Kozue departs, Sena also lets Takumi know about the moment Kozue got her Di-Sword, with some form of silent organized harassment as multiple people target her with mirrors Don Quixote style, culminating in her murking three of her classmates with her Di-sword, later asking herself in the mirror, "Who are you?" the question she was harassed with on top of the mirrors. Similar to a certain phrase regarding... "Eyes".

Then we get Takumi at school, along the way he spots Nanami, while he's glad she's alive and well he's been avoiding her cause he might bawl his eyes out, but he finds the courage to approach her, as he does though. Nanami adjusts her hair, and on her right hand, is a bandage. Ending off the chapter.

I will say, I am so fucking happy we got to see Sena, her and Kozue are really cute together and Kozue as of now, while being late into the story, is a really fun character, and has become one of my favorites among the cast.

Sena as well, seeing her more laid back makes me like her character a lot more, she's very focused, kind of non-chalant, and is very much plagued by resting bitch face which all combine to make her scary to approach but once we get to her she's basically like a proper big sibling, its nice.

The explanation on Gigalomaniacs is nice, I like the use of the Dirac sea and the parallels to how Ayase explained it back then.

I think there was also a NOZOMI cut in I forgot to mention with I think the central guy from the giggleshits meeting, he seems to have a Gigalomaniac on his side who I think is Nanami given the Gero Frog he throws into the bin, though now that I think about it there's a better chance it could be Yua, or her sister, Yua's been MIA for a while now so anything can happen with her.

That said, very solid follow up to Chapter 6.

Commencing Report No.8 on Chaos;Head Noah, Chapter 8!

If there is one phrase I can ascribe to this chapter, it is;
Well, ain't that a bitch?

Lets start with the intro, Ban, Momose, and surprise surprise, Yua. One thing I'll say, Yua fits right at home with the Detective cast, it kind of makes me sad they didn't have them meet with her sooner, she bounces well off of Ban, and their few moments together are really cute.

We're told that Yua's sister, Mia, was one of the Group Dive victims, and we get a little bit of flashbacks to how she was when she still lived. Not much I can comment on regarding this, however, we are informed that the police don't really have Takumi in their sights, at least for the Crucifixion case, which is good news.

Followed immediately by bad news as Ban gets a call from Suwa, Case No.7, DQN Puzzle.

We then move back to Takumi, he's with Rimi by the park. He's a bit shaken, from last chapter, Rimi tries to comfort him but it doesn't seem to work, anyhow, Takumi wonders if he should tell Rimi about Nanami, but ultimately decides against it, mentioning it might be better to talk to Kozue or Sena about it.

They make their way back to the Base, and Takumi gets an email from Grimm telling him to get his ass on chat because Case No.7 just hit. Looking into an article about it, the victims seem to be the same three dudes that jumped him last chapter, seems like someone snatched up their bodies shortly after Kozue and Takumi left the scene, anyways, after looking at a live broadcast of a news report on it, Rimi shuts the monitor off, giving Takumi a few words of comfort.

Ever since that reveal last chapter, a lot of what Rimi does here... it just feels sad, like, its like she's clinging onto Takumi, while we find some reasons as to why she might be doing so beyond Shogun's orders, it just... I don't know.

Anyhow, we check in on Ayase, she's still in the hospital after her fall and we get a look into whatever the hell they did to her at Ark Heart. Water drip torture, all the while wearing a device which seems similar to one we'll see later. However, someone soon enters the room, its Suwa, surprisingly enough. He questions her on her motives for jumping.

Something of major note is that we get the basis of inspiration for her songs with Phantasm, the Gladioul Book of Psalms and Revelations by R. C. O. Ziegler. A name that had escaped my head until it was brought back here, it first appeared when Takumi was initially trying to find clues on how to get his Di-sword.

Anyways, after a bit more questioning, Suwa takes his leave, not before seemingly ignoring a call from either as Suwa says, his Girlfriend, or the funnier option, Ban.

Now then, back to Takumi ponders over everything that's happened, as he does he remembers what Kozue told him about that homeless guy, and thinks to look for the box he stored that old essay in, conveniently enough he brought it with him. The actual essay itself is something very interesting, a dream about an older version of himself coming to visit him in a time machine, his older self telling him God is real, something to keep note of.

Though, what's more important is the ominous drawing on the back and the equation from the very start of the story, fun^10xint^40=Ir2.

We then go back to the detectives as they analyze what Yua managed to gather regarding Takumi, they think its good stuff, though, Ban lets her and Momose know, that the cops don't have Takumi as a suspect, at least for the Crucifixion case. Ban then asks Yua about Sena but it seems like she only knows her by name, so Ban then asks if she knows anything about the tricks he saw Sena pull off on the station cameras a few chapters ago.

Interestingly, Yua lets them know she saw the conversation Ayase and Takumi had back in Chapter 4, having witnessed both her Di-sword and her delusionary clone that Takumi made. Trying to lighten the mood, Momose brings up Yua's Gero Froggy, which seems to give Ban an idea, going back to earlier chapters, its stated and reiterated here that Gero Froggies sell insanely well, and ridiculously long lines form for them when new ones get sold on Fridays, just at the end of the week.

I wasn't able to figure out his question of who could benefit from a high GE Rate on Weekends.

Seems like now I have, and to do them one better, I think the Gero Froggies are a trojan horse, remember the crazy and damn near lethal headaches people got during the SI5 earthquake?

With that out of the way, we move to Takumi, Rimi, and Misumi going to go visit Ayase, on the way though, Rimi splits off from them, leaving Misumi and Takumi to chat with Ayase. I took a positive delusion here and its really fucking funny, Takumi accidentally gives Misumi a ball check, great thinking Takumi, no one does it like you do.

Snap back to reality, Misumi is checking out the books she has with her, finding the Gladioul Book of Psalms and Revelations once again, then smack talking Ayase for being Schizo, which, how dare you, Misumi.

As he does though Takumi wonders if he can just steal Ayase's Di-swords, to which he tries to but fails as the blade hasn't been Realbooted, and Misumi looks at him funny. They then realize that they probably should've waited for Rimi to come back and then ask where Ayase's room was, dickheads.

Anyways, Takumi goes to search for her but comes across a black fucking wall, which makes him understandably shit himself. Managing to run away from the malicious game environment asset he makes it to a Nurse reception desk with Hazuki, who seems to be tweaking too hard to help Takumi. Before leaving, Takumi notices however that she left her clipboard behind, picking it up to find the same drawing of NewGen No.3 that Grimm sent him at the start of the game, that repeats over several pages before ending on, once again, "Whose eyes are those eyes."

Anyways, speaking of Kozue and Sena earlier, breaking and entering. Yeah they break into Takumi's "House", with Sena finding Takumi's essay, and the equation written behind the paper, seeing this equation causes her to go apeshit, and we cut back to Takumi, who finds Misumi staring down at Ayase and Rimi talking to one another, witnessing Ayase give Rimi a massive bitch slap with Ayase walking away after.

Takumi and Misumi intercept her on her way back and they get to talking in her room, of course, Misumi, like the coward he is, is unable to last even a second against the pure fire of esoterica and prose Ayase spits out whenever she opens her mouth, leaves Takumi to weather the flames.

Ayase once again urges Takumi to get moving and find his Di-sword, reminding him that of the divine punishment he must endure, else everybody dies, but Takumi is basically nearing the end of his rope, but she insists that Takumi most definitely is a Black Knight.

Takumi then goes with Misumi back to the lobby, finding Rimi, just before they leave though, they catch some breaking news. The NewGen culprit has seemingly been caught! Yeah this is probably a fall guy so the public can leave them alone if not that then they just got some random bum instead.

More pressingly,
Takumi gets a call from Nanami, and she pleads with him,
to give back her right arm.

This shakes Takumi, but we cut to Ban and Yua,
they're looking into the Gero Froggy, Ban buys two, presenting it under the cover of getting some for his daughter, and starts to subtly interrogate the clerk manning the store. What he says sounds like a bunch of run-of-the-mill corporate bullshit as he says the Gero Froggies are more than a product and are "Born", which seems to piss of Ban, a lot. As he cuts the convo with the Clerk there, Yua catches a suspicious unmarked white truck unloading boxes of Gero Froggies with a company named FaithWorks Limited marked on the boxes. My guess are these guys are a shell or subsidiary of NOZOMI, or an asset of that Church of the Divine Light Sena talks about.

Back with Takumi, he and Rimi make it back to the base, where Sena lies in wait. Realbooting her Di-sword she stands atop the shipping container, with Kozue pulling her leg trying to stop her.

Sena jumps from the container, landing on the ground and initiating a deadly lunge aiming to send her sword right through Takumi's chest, just before she can close the distance, Rimi gets in her way. Finally playing her hand as she brings out her Di-sword. Blocking Sena's strike.

Rimi pleads with Sena to stop, saying to not force Takumi to awaken, saying she couldn't kill him even if she tried.

Sena brushes this off as she rushes towards Rimi, as Sena swings at her, Rimi gets ready to block her strike, but its a faint, she cuts the Realboot letting the blade pass through Rimi, before rebooting and sending the blade straight towards Takumi, before she can though, she spots someone.

He's haggard, and looks a lot like Sena,

she stops in her tracks,

she shouts at the man over killing her mother.

She closes the gap, and stabs him in the chest.

But, he hugs her. Of course, this is just a Delusion, and Sena is at the edge of the Roof.

Takumi closes his eyes, waiting for a visceral "splat!" just like with Ayase, but... Rimi doesn't seem to want her dead.

Kozue is very much happy Sena wasn't killed, but pushes against Rimi's request that Sena never see Takumi again, Takumi wonders why Sena tried to kill her but he doesn't need to ponder, Sena lays it all out to him, the equation, the one that kills the worlds possibilities.

We get another NOZOMI cut in, confirming that they're using the Ir2 formula for Noah II, and that they have 5 Gigalomaniac samples with Noah II right now, as well, they lay out the inaugural experiment which will mark Noah II's completion and act as an ultimate display of its power, the Third Melt, and earthquake on the scale of the Great Kanto Earthquake with a magnitude likely rivaling its 7.9 and a kill count which will likely be unseen for years to come when it comes to earthquakes.

Back at Base, Sena continues to chastise both Rimi and Takumi, comparing the discovery of Ir2 to E=mc^2. The formula that built the bomb, as Ir2 will build the weapons of the New World Order. Kozue then cuts in saying how that hobo she saw that one time talked about this and that makes Sena lose her shit as that was probably—no, is, her dad.

We then get Sena's backstory, the horrific experiment her father performed on her mother, which acted as a key basis for Noah II, I don't have much to comment on here but yeah no I understand why Sena is gung-ho about murking her father, I wouldn't let that slide either especially if I had to WATCH IT ALL GO DOWN just like Sena did.

After this, we see Takumi and Rimi heading to Takumi's house in Shimokitazawa (ayy bocchi sorry, anyways.) Takumi is understandably unhappy with how Rimi has been, she still cares for him sure but in the end Takumi barely knows anything about her, and I imagine he won't be happy when she figures out she's been working with Shogun all this time.

As they're about to reach the house, Rimi pleads with him, that he doesn't need to check on Nanami, that they can just keep the life he has right now, a normal one, but if he did he'd never get to see Nanami or his family every again, he wouldn't be able to bring himself to if he did.

Not like it matters, as when he reaches his house. Its gone, the nameplate on the front doesn't read Nishijou and the house is a lot better than the one he remembers living in. He thinks its jamais vu but Rimi denies it, telling him a startling truth.

In this world...

...You don't have a home to go back to, Taku.

We cut to Shogun, making his way down the hospital halls, coming across the black wall from earlier. It disappears before him like a hidden passage way, behind it, behind it, a lone room. The name plate adorned to the side of its door.

Nishijou Takumi.

This is one hell of a penultimate chapter, the end was, it was something man.
The interactions between Yua and the detectives was cute, the fight between Rimi and Sena was cool, Rimi as well, it still saddens me that it seems like she's entirely powerless to stop whatever is actually going on with Takumi, and Takumi himself? Yeah they just keep throwing more shit at this man, straight up cosmically told this guy that "He is not real".

I just, I'm speechless, I looked up the chapter count for the game online and it seems like Chapter 8 will be our penultimate one for the common route, with that in mind I think its time to ask.

Which routes should I be paying keen attention to on the way to the true ending? Which, the True Ending itself I assume will be critical for kicking off Steins;Gate.

Commencing report No.6 on Chapter 6!

I didn't expect to write this one so soon after chapter 5, though while this was a much shorter chapter than the previous, it was one hell of a ride from start to finish.

We kick off immediately following the sky going pale, Ban is in a critical meeting with the rest of the force but Suwa is nowhere to be found. This pisses of Ban, as he gives the kid a call. Initially I thought someone had gotten to Suwa but no it seems like he was fucking around god knows where as the signal is worse than shit on the other end, though.

Given what happens next, its safe to assume the shit signal was less because of Suwa taking a wierd route to his destination, and more of a very late sign of whats about to happen; as an earthquake strikes the police station, and this is a strong fucking earthquake, we see later that it completely topples Takumi's bed.

Regardless, the earthquake isn't the only strange occurrence, it looks like several officers die of splitting headaches in the Chaos(;Head NoAH). I think Ban was also affected but I could just be misreading.

Following this intro we cut back to Takumi, who previously was knocked out cold by the horrific headache that hit him from that call back in Chapter 5. He wakes up but his PC seems bricked, and after a bit of justified tweaking and forgetting how MMO save data works, he gets a message from who else? Shogun's back, and a lot more antagonistic this time. Takumi doesn't really focus on his messages right now the guy is pissing his pants and trying to find Rimi, as it seems like she's gone completely MIA.

In desperation, this leads Takumi to head out to Misumi in hopes of finding Rimi to reassure him, only to find... one of the scenes in this chapter that had me scared.

A crowd has gathered around, someone stands at the top of the roof, beyond the fences, a grim reminder of what can often happen, this far up. Her hair is a pale blue, arms outstretched, Di-sword in hand.

If you'll recall previously, FES had been doxxed on @chan, this. Coupled with the Earthquake that hit just hours ago, it seems like Ayase has lost hope. We get her perspective, the sky is red. As if hell has finally come to take the earth.

She stands there, reciting the prose seen on her page on the mental hospitals website. She laments the cruelty of people.

She asks one last question to greater will she clings to.

And then.
.

.
She jumps down.

Takumi can only watch, her fall made agonizingly slow, aimed straight for the concrete.
If only there was a flowerbed or something. If only there was something soft below her.

He averts his eyes, he shuts them off to the horror set to play out in front of him, but...

Unbeknownst to him, it seems like he managed to commit a dimensional slight of hand by accident as Ayase falls on a very out of place flowerbed.

This moment, was fucking great, I genuinely screamed out when she hit the ground, its such a strong moment both for Ayase and Takumi. I love it, unfortunately it gets ruined by the immediate cut to NOZOMI fucking around again, however, it is not entirely for naught, as the name of our great laboratory's dreaded arch-nemesis finally rears its despicable head! The Committee of 300!

NOZOMI is operating against the wishes of the 300 with whatever Noah is, and given what happened in Shibuya just hours ago, yeah, I wouldn't blame the Committee for going apeshit over this because this seems like a horrific breach in secrecy. Like, basically broadcasting "Hey the most evil shit ever is happening right fucking now guys look its so cool!" God, that cover up is going to cost trillions, they're lucky they took over the banks because they would go broke just planning a cover-up alone.

Anyway, we get Sena interrogating Takumi, I took the negative delusion for this one and yeah the aftermath isn't pretty. Thankfully, Sena doesn't seem to have it out for him, she probably has more pressing matters, like NOZOMI making more moves.

Honestly, much as I like Sena at base, she doesn't seem to be doing much outside of info dumping and aura farming. Not that I mind her being cool, I just wish she was doing more at this point of the story, but, who knows, maybe she'll finally be able to get some limelight next chapter.

Cut to AH Tokyo General Hospital, the place is crawling with patients, as expected, the casualties are over 100 apparently, which is terrifying. Whats worse is the hospital is understaffed, on top of losing a doctor as part of NewGen. Poor bastards.

Anyway, the Nurse from Takumi's checkup back in I think Chapter 2? Hazuki, yeah, she gets jumpscared by Suwa, turns out he's looking to get Takumi's medical record for the case, of course, this violates Patient Confidentiality, but like, shits going down, might as well.

Cut back to Takumi, still hoping Rimi might come in clutch, his phone even buzzes with a message but it turns out its just Nanami. Interestingly, the quake seems localized to Shibuya, on top of that, the event caused anything magnetic to go kaput, explains Suwa's bad connection at the start of the chapter. Anyway, no one seems to now shit about how the this all even happened, expected but, still sad to see.

We then cut back to AH Tokyo General Hospital, where we're reminded of the true scale of the damage. Interestingly enough, they're prioritizing patients who've been knocked out over the ones with more apparent physical trauma, its a bit a weird policy, I wonder if this order of things is actually accurate to this kind of disaster response in medical centers.

An ambulance comes in, carrying Ayase, the docs put her in a stretcher and bring her inside, as... Rimi... watches just outside the entrance to the hospital. Which is strange given how she's been AWOL since this kicked off, maybe a family member got caught up in the chaos and was hospitalized here? Honestly, I've got no clue.

Going back to Takumi, he's still lamenting Rimi's sudden absence when he checks his PC, seeing a mail from Nanami with the ever trendy "Whose eyes are those eyes?" as the title. The email is very much directly antagonistic towards Takumi, its kind of strange, the reading I got regarding Shogun up to this point was that he was a fairly aloof and kind of neutral but.. his recent behavior throughout these chapters has grown much more direct, much more hostile.

Anyways, bottom line is, he's got Nanami hostage, and he's seemingly mailed Nanami's severed forearm, bangle in and phone in hand.

But a quick word from our sponsors, NOZOMI.
This cut in is a lot less egregious than the previous NOZOMI cut in, these are still a bit jarring but this one has a very key detail, basically it seems to be an explanation on how Noah II is able to even do the trickery it does to begin with. As well, it seems like the Committee had a hand in trying to block/gatekeep NOZOMI's efforts into this research, as expected of their insipid machinations, I don't blame them though NOZOMI seems very irresponsible.

We also get an explanation as to who Porters are and how they function as a part of increasing Noah II's effective range, which I'll give them credit for.

Now then, we reach what is one of the coolest moments thusfar, Shogun, who's voice is.. a bit different this time around, which coupled with his switch up makes me wonder if Shogun even is Shogun at all here, but regardless, he has Takumi against the metaphorical wall, Nanami's life is in his hands.

The crowd below is cheering and hollering at him from down below, all of Shibuya is eyeing him down, all chanting those same accursed words, "Whose eyes are those eyes." Takumi is absolutely racked with anxiety not helped by Shogun pressuring him to try and grasp his Di-sword, while the imagined voice of Seira tries to make him bow out.

I think I took Neutral leading up to the moment that caught me off guard, the choices regarding the sword. I actually failed this and Takumi fell to his death the first time around cause I did the last answer wrong which was uhh... whoops. Next run through though, I managed to get it done, I went YES-YES-NO-NO-YES.

Taking a positive Delusion here, I actually thought I borked it as Seira managed to convince Takumi to just go back to the Base, but after loading back and checking the negative, it didn't lead to any game over so, we're all good.

Anyways, after bowing out, he gets a sudden delusion, one about her sister, kneeling, covered in blood, with some of it dripping from whats likely her severed hand creating a gruesome puddle. This delusion sends Takumi off the deep end and into rage, he charges at Shogun, and knocks the paraplegic bastard to the ground———except.

He's a lot lighter than expected? Takumi's on the ground, he tries to find man he knocked down, reaching out to touch a simple helmet, of I think a ripoff of Darth Vader, closing off the chapter there.

This one was a blast for how short it was, once again my favorite scene from this is Ayase's Descent but I feel like this one was a bit too short as they're just cramming in the fucking NOZOMI Slack group chat at weird times but all in all, I think its nice.

As I said before the door choice part caught me off guard, overall this chapter, for what it lacks in length, does a solid job of keeping you on your toes, especially with the final sequence, one hell of a closer. Can't wait to see more of this next chapter now that things have ramped up.

Commencing Report No.7 on Chapter 7 of Chaos;Head Noah!

After the roller coaster ride that was Chapter 6, Chapter 7 acts as our much needed aftermath following show at O-FRONT. Starting us off with Ban observing Sena take down another one of NOZOMI's Porters, witnessing first hand both the hidden hands at play and the strange powers at hand.

This is followed by a cut to Takumi, whom, following his failed awakening at O-FRONT, has a memory of Nanami. While I was never fully convinced that Nanami had died there atop O-FRONT, this was still a sad moment to see as Takumi shows his true thoughts on his sister, for as nagging as she was, she is one of the few people who actively cared and looked out for Takumi.

Yet, he has rejected her support at almost every turn of his life so far, as seen when he smacks away the tray full of curry, which, look man I don't care how shit Hospital food but c'mon that was curry that had to be a little good you know? Anyways.

Takumi wakes up in a hospital bed in a very, very monochrome room, and then we see what happened following him finding the Darth Spider costume where Shogun once was. He's suddenly swarmed by the press throwing question after question at him, back at this moment in Chapter 6 there was a whole damn crowd just below at the scramble watching him. I first thought it was a Delusion but seeing what happens after that unfortunately doesn't entirely turn out to be the case.

There's a Delusion Trigger here, I took the negative one. Which sees Takumi getting lambasted by Hazuki, fun.

Snap back to reality, Hazuki, his nurse, then tells him that someone came to visit him while he was out, though, Takumi is too busy lamenting and cursing himself over Nanami to fully process what she said, telling Hazuki that Nanami had died. This causes her a bit of Confusion as the person who came to visit called Takumi "Big Bro", and Takumi knows only one person in his life that'd call him that. That's right, Nanami is alive, which gives Takumi a wave of relief.

We then cut to Ban and Suwa as they're at another meeting at the precinct. Ban gets up to present some interesting evidence which puts into question the temporal consistency of the group dive, of course this is dismissed because while its a weird inconsistency its a bit too strange to really make use of, even Ban agrees, he's not even sure what that fact about the Group Dive would even mean for that murder.

Back to Takumi, he sneaks out of the Hospital and back to the base to check up on the Hand that Shogun had mailed him, but the damn thing seems to have completely disappeared, though interestingly the mail Shogun sent his way was still there.

This is when its confirmed that yes that show at O-FRONT did happen, which, shit. Not to mention he's been doxxed on @chan, making the man basically public enemy No.1 for the time being, worse still, another NewGen murder, bringing the case count to 6 so far. In spite of this though, Takumi is still desperately looking for Rimi so he still goes to school, bad choice, but to be honest what the hell can he even do at this point.

Anyways, the expected happens, his classmates shit on him and, as expected, Misumi is keeping his distance. Which, as much as I'm not happy about it I can see where he's coming from. This makes Takumi almost lose it and we get another Delusion, this time I took a positive one, because he definitely needed it. I expected this one to be a bit crazy but the ending was kind of funny, anyways.

After the Delusion, Takumi just starts fucking losing it, the kid's spiraling and spiraling and spiraling. He gets up from his seat, does his signature Chud laugh (seriously I don't know how his VA does such a good job at making sound like a Chud its one hell of a talent God bless you Hiroyuki Yoshino.) But, someone gives him a little bit of encouragement, from one mind to another, literally. The voice refers to itself as Kozupii, this makes it very clear who's giving him the Charles Xavier special, its Kozue.

Very happy to see her finally kick into the story, and later on in this Chapter they really let her hit the ground running, quickly become one of my favorites next to Sena and Ayase.

Now then, cutting back to the Gumshoe. Ban and Suwa take a visit to Momose, trying to hunt for more leads from the Scientific Angle. Momose has been tracking the GE rate of Shibuya over the past few years, something odd she points out is the spikes in GE rate, on holidays it totally dips but at two points the damn thing spikes, these spikes coincided with the small earthquake I mentioned a while ago back in Report No.05-3, and the recent SI5 Earthquake.

Not to mention the EM wave that knocked out most electronics, which both me and the trio of Ban, Suwa, and Momose here seem to agree played some part in the unusual number of deaths from this quake.

One thing they're sure of is that the quakes, both the one a while back and the one now were likely manmade, the question is, which man made it? Momose has no leads but Ban seems to have a hunch, though, to be honest, I wasn't able to figure out his question of who could benefit from a high GE Rate on Weekends.

Back with Takumi, he tries to find Rimi again, but to no avail. So he just goes out to go home.

There's a moment here where he pleads to whoever could be controlling him, to reset the game and give him a better start but... hey man, not much I can do from the chair here, that's just how it is.

Anyway, he bumps into some dudes who then proceed to jump him. However, someone comes in to get these guys off his back. Turns out, its Kozue! Though, in the middle of her giving these guys the smack down, we get a... dire, cut in.

Shogun sits in a hospital room, the golden glow of the afternoon creeping in from the window. Someone opens the door and lets themselves in.

It's Rimi... sad to say I wasn't entirely surprised, it seems her appearance at the Crucifixion was neither a delusion nor random chance. I'm more saddened, than anything. Rimi seems sad too, requesting permission to "erase" Takumi, but Shogun... refuses. He's not done with him yet and it seems like he has something he has to see through to the end, something that I assume will be bad for pretty much everybody, given Rimi's words following this.

Cut back to Takumi being rescued. We get a lot of time to figure out Kozue's deal as she helps Takumi along with recovering from the beating he was handed. Going to rest somewhere in ROFT, also, it turns out she was there at the O-FRONT show, heard everything Takumi was thinking.

Once inside Kozue decides to show off her awesome fucking slab of tungsten she calls a Di-sword, before the two rest on some empty stairway. We get some info into Di-swords and how they blend into the environment, later on we learn that it seems like that once spotted the shape of the Di-sword can be seen almost everywhere by the individual set to wield one. Like a form of pareidolia.

Other than that I have no fucking clue how to describe what Kozue means when she says she wished for the Di-sword, all I know is that she wants to kill and that's a very respectable wish.

After Takumi's understandable horror at this information though we get a cut to the close past, after Kozue moved to Tokyo.

The rain's falling like a motherfucker, just like how its raining hard right now as I write this, but she's walking down the street when she finds some homeless guy talking about the end of the world, at first this guy looks like Takumi but after a picture they take later on he more looks like Sena, I wonder what happened to her dad. Anyways, he seems to be accustomed to Kozues astral projectelepathy and gives her some good pieces of advice regarding the Di-sword, its all a bit vague but Kozue seems to innately actually understand it, I think I do too but I don't know if I can articulate it.

More importantly though, he tells Kozue, to keep out for

...the boy who birthed "Whose eyes are those eyes"

This unsettles Takumi and he GTFOs to Kozue's dismay, but she manages to catch up to him. There's also someone else, and it turns out to be Sena!

What follows next is both cute and critical, as Sena gives us the rundown on Gigalomaniacs, wielders of the Di-swords. She states that Gigalomaniacs are capable of interfering with the "Dirac sea", or a Ayase would put it, the "Transcendental Plane", the Dirac sea is also a real scientific model, although theoretical.

Essentially Gigalomaniacs use seem to use the Di-sword to, as Sena puts it, "expand the channel between ones Di-Sword and the Dirac sea" which let particles and anti-particles through that are converted into electronic signals and sent into peoples Dead Spots, which allows them to be perceived and recognized by others, letting a delusion become real.

At least that's my understanding of it I could have entirely misread this like an idiot but hey what happens happens.

Takumi also gets more hints on how he can fully acquire his Di-sword but that initial Gigalomaniac explanation took a lot out of me so I'll just try to skip over the explanations.

We get a few more cute moments, Takumi getting a "You win!" on his Popsicle stick, much to Sena's jealousy.

Then all 3 taking a cute picture together at a nearby arcade.

After Kozue departs, Sena also lets Takumi know about the moment Kozue got her Di-Sword, with some form of silent organized harassment as multiple people target her with mirrors Don Quixote style, culminating in her murking three of her classmates with her Di-sword, later asking herself in the mirror, "Who are you?" the question she was harassed with on top of the mirrors. Similar to a certain phrase regarding... "Eyes".

Then we get Takumi at school, along the way he spots Nanami, while he's glad she's alive and well he's been avoiding her cause he might bawl his eyes out, but he finds the courage to approach her, as he does though. Nanami adjusts her hair, and on her right hand, is a bandage. Ending off the chapter.

I will say, I am so fucking happy we got to see Sena, her and Kozue are really cute together and Kozue as of now, while being late into the story, is a really fun character, and has become one of my favorites among the cast.

Sena as well, seeing her more laid back makes me like her character a lot more, she's very focused, kind of non-chalant, and is very much plagued by resting bitch face which all combine to make her scary to approach but once we get to her she's basically like a proper big sibling, its nice.

The explanation on Gigalomaniacs is nice, I like the use of the Dirac sea and the parallels to how Ayase explained it back then.

I think there was also a NOZOMI cut in I forgot to mention with I think the central guy from the giggleshits meeting, he seems to have a Gigalomaniac on his side who I think is Nanami given the Gero Frog he throws into the bin, though now that I think about it there's a better chance it could be Yua, or her sister, Yua's been MIA for a while now so anything can happen with her.

That said, very solid follow up to Chapter 6.

Lets start with the intro, Ban, Momose, and surprise surprise, Yua. One thing I'll say, Yua fits right at home with the Detective cast, it kind of makes me sad they didn't have them meet with her sooner, she bounces well off of Ban, and their few moments together are really cute.

We're told that Yua's sister, Mia, was one of the Group Dive victims, and we get a little bit of flashbacks to how she was when she still lived. Not much I can comment on regarding this, however, we are informed that the police don't really have Takumi in their sights, at least for the Crucifixion case, which is good news.

Followed immediately by bad news as Ban gets a call from Suwa, Case No.7, DQN Puzzle.

We then move back to Takumi, he's with Rimi by the park. He's a bit shaken, from last chapter, Rimi tries to comfort him but it doesn't seem to work, anyhow, Takumi wonders if he should tell Rimi about Nanami, but ultimately decides against it, mentioning it might be better to talk to Kozue or Sena about it.

They make their way back to the Base, and Takumi gets an email from Grimm telling him to get his ass on chat because Case No.7 just hit. Looking into an article about it, the victims seem to be the same three dudes that jumped him last chapter, seems like someone snatched up their bodies shortly after Kozue and Takumi left the scene, anyways, after looking at a live broadcast of a news report on it, Rimi shuts the monitor off, giving Takumi a few words of comfort.

Ever since that reveal last chapter, a lot of what Rimi does here... it just feels sad, like, its like she's clinging onto Takumi, while we find some reasons as to why she might be doing so beyond Shogun's orders, it just... I don't know.

Anyhow, we check in on Ayase, she's still in the hospital after her fall and we get a look into whatever the hell they did to her at Ark Heart. Water drip torture, all the while wearing a device which seems similar to one we'll see later. However, someone soon enters the room, its Suwa, surprisingly enough. He questions her on her motives for jumping.

Something of major note is that we get the basis of inspiration for her songs with Phantasm, the Gladioul Book of Psalms and Revelations by R. C. O. Ziegler. A name that had escaped my head until it was brought back here, it first appeared when Takumi was initially trying to find clues on how to get his Di-sword.

Anyways, after a bit more questioning, Suwa takes his leave, not before seemingly ignoring a call from either as Suwa says, his Girlfriend, or the funnier option, Ban.

Now then, back to Takumi ponders over everything that's happened, as he does he remembers what Kozue told him about that homeless guy, and thinks to look for the box he stored that old essay in, conveniently enough he brought it with him. The actual essay itself is something very interesting, a dream about an older version of himself coming to visit him in a time machine, his older self telling him God is real, something to keep note of.

Though, what's more important is the ominous drawing on the back and the equation from the very start of the story, fun^10xint^40=Ir2.

We then go back to the detectives as they analyze what Yua managed to gather regarding Takumi, they think its good stuff, though, Ban lets her and Momose know, that the cops don't have Takumi as a suspect, at least for the Crucifixion case. Ban then asks Yua about Sena but it seems like she only knows her by name, so Ban then asks if she knows anything about the tricks he saw Sena pull off on the station cameras a few chapters ago.

Interestingly, Yua lets them know she saw the conversation Ayase and Takumi had back in Chapter 4, having witnessed both her Di-sword and her delusionary clone that Takumi made. Trying to lighten the mood, Momose brings up Yua's Gero Froggy, which seems to give Ban an idea, going back to earlier chapters, its stated and reiterated here that Gero Froggies sell insanely well, and ridiculously long lines form for them when new ones get sold on Fridays, just at the end of the week.

I wasn't able to figure out his question of who could benefit from a high GE Rate on Weekends.

Seems like now I have, and to do them one better, I think the Gero Froggies are a trojan horse, remember the crazy and damn near lethal headaches people got during the SI5 earthquake?

With that out of the way, we move to Takumi, Rimi, and Misumi going to go visit Ayase, on the way though, Rimi splits off from them, leaving Misumi and Takumi to chat with Ayase. I took a positive delusion here and its really fucking funny, Takumi accidentally gives Misumi a ball check, great thinking Takumi, no one does it like you do.

Snap back to reality, Misumi is checking out the books she has with her, finding the Gladioul Book of Psalms and Revelations once again, then smack talking Ayase for being Schizo, which, how dare you, Misumi.

As he does though Takumi wonders if he can just steal Ayase's Di-swords, to which he tries to but fails as the blade hasn't been Realbooted, and Misumi looks at him funny. They then realize that they probably should've waited for Rimi to come back and then ask where Ayase's room was, dickheads.

Anyways, Takumi goes to search for her but comes across a black fucking wall, which makes him understandably shit himself. Managing to run away from the malicious game environment asset he makes it to a Nurse reception desk with Hazuki, who seems to be tweaking too hard to help Takumi. Before leaving, Takumi notices however that she left her clipboard behind, picking it up to find the same drawing of NewGen No.3 that Grimm sent him at the start of the game, that repeats over several pages before ending on, once again, "Whose eyes are those eyes."

Anyways, speaking of Kozue and Sena earlier, breaking and entering. Yeah they break into Takumi's "House", with Sena finding Takumi's essay, and the equation written behind the paper, seeing this equation causes her to go apeshit, and we cut back to Takumi, who finds Misumi staring down at Ayase and Rimi talking to one another, witnessing Ayase give Rimi a massive bitch slap with Ayase walking away after.

Takumi and Misumi intercept her on her way back and they get to talking in her room, of course, Misumi, like the coward he is, is unable to last even a second against the pure fire of esoterica and prose Ayase spits out whenever she opens her mouth, leaves Takumi to weather the flames.

Ayase once again urges Takumi to get moving and find his Di-sword, reminding him that of the divine punishment he must endure, else everybody dies, but Takumi is basically nearing the end of his rope, but she insists that Takumi most definitely is a Black Knight.

Takumi then goes with Misumi back to the lobby, finding Rimi, just before they leave though, they catch some breaking news. The NewGen culprit has seemingly been caught! Yeah this is probably a fall guy so the public can leave them alone if not that then they just got some random bum instead.

More pressingly,
Takumi gets a call from Nanami, and she pleads with him,
to give back her right arm.

This shakes Takumi, but we cut to Ban and Yua,
they're looking into the Gero Froggy, Ban buys two, presenting it under the cover of getting some for his daughter, and starts to subtly interrogate the clerk manning the store. What he says sounds like a bunch of run-of-the-mill corporate bullshit as he says the Gero Froggies are more than a product and are "Born", which seems to piss of Ban, a lot. As he cuts the convo with the Clerk there, Yua catches a suspicious unmarked white truck unloading boxes of Gero Froggies with a company named FaithWorks Limited marked on the boxes. My guess are these guys are a shell or subsidiary of NOZOMI, or an asset of that Church of the Divine Light Sena talks about.

Back with Takumi, he and Rimi make it back to the base, where Sena lies in wait. Realbooting her Di-sword she stands atop the shipping container, with Kozue pulling her leg trying to stop her.

Sena jumps from the container, landing on the ground and initiating a deadly lunge aiming to send her sword right through Takumi's chest, just before she can close the distance, Rimi gets in her way. Finally playing her hand as she brings out her Di-sword. Blocking Sena's strike.

Rimi pleads with Sena to stop, saying to not force Takumi to awaken, saying she couldn't kill him even if she tried.

Sena brushes this off as she rushes towards Rimi, as Sena swings at her, Rimi gets ready to block her strike, but its a faint, she cuts the Realboot letting the blade pass through Rimi, before rebooting and sending the blade straight towards Takumi, before she can though, she spots someone.

He's haggard, and looks a lot like Sena,

she stops in her tracks,

she shouts at the man over killing her mother.

She closes the gap, and stabs him in the chest.

But, he hugs her. Of course, this is just a Delusion, and Sena is at the edge of the Roof.

Takumi closes his eyes, waiting for a visceral "splat!" just like with Ayase, but... Rimi doesn't seem to want her dead.

Kozue is very much happy Sena wasn't killed, but pushes against Rimi's request that Sena never see Takumi again, Takumi wonders why Sena tried to kill her but he doesn't need to ponder, Sena lays it all out to him, the equation, the one that kills the worlds possibilities.

We get another NOZOMI cut in, confirming that they're using the Ir2 formula for Noah II, and that they have 5 Gigalomaniac samples with Noah II right now, as well, they lay out the inaugural experiment which will mark Noah II's completion and act as an ultimate display of its power, the Third Melt, and earthquake on the scale of the Great Kanto Earthquake with a magnitude likely rivaling its 7.9 and a kill count which will likely be unseen for years to come when it comes to earthquakes.

Back at Base, Sena continues to chastise both Rimi and Takumi, comparing the discovery of Ir2 to E=mc^2. The formula that built the bomb, as Ir2 will build the weapons of the New World Order. Kozue then cuts in saying how that hobo she saw that one time talked about this and that makes Sena lose her shit as that was probably—no, is, her dad.

We then get Sena's backstory, the horrific experiment her father performed on her mother, which acted as a key basis for Noah II, I don't have much to comment on here but yeah no I understand why Sena is gung-ho about murking her father, I wouldn't let that slide either especially if I had to WATCH IT ALL GO DOWN just like Sena did.

After this, we see Takumi and Rimi heading to Takumi's house in Shimokitazawa (ayy bocchi sorry, anyways.) Takumi is understandably unhappy with how Rimi has been, she still cares for him sure but in the end Takumi barely knows anything about her, and I imagine he won't be happy when she figures out she's been working with Shogun all this time.

As they're about to reach the house, Rimi pleads with him, that he doesn't need to check on Nanami, that they can just keep the life he has right now, a normal one, but if he did he'd never get to see Nanami or his family every again, he wouldn't be able to bring himself to if he did.

Not like it matters, as when he reaches his house. Its gone, the nameplate on the front doesn't read Nishijou and the house is a lot better than the one he remembers living in. He thinks its jamais vu but Rimi denies it, telling him a startling truth.

In this world...

...You don't have a home to go back to, Taku.

We cut to Shogun, making his way down the hospital halls, coming across the black wall from earlier. It disappears before him like a hidden passage way, behind it, behind it, a lone room. The name plate adorned to the side of its door.

Nishijou Takumi.

This is one hell of a penultimate chapter, the end was, it was something man.
The interactions between Yua and the detectives was cute, the fight between Rimi and Sena was cool, Rimi as well, it still saddens me that it seems like she's entirely powerless to stop whatever is actually going on with Takumi, and Takumi himself? Yeah they just keep throwing more shit at this man, straight up cosmically told this guy that "He is not real".

I just, I'm speechless, I looked up the chapter count for the game online and it seems like Chapter 8 will be our penultimate one for the common route, with that in mind I think its time to ask.

Which routes should I be paying keen attention to on the way to the true ending? Which, the True Ending itself I assume will be critical for kicking off Steins;Gate.

Now then, with that out of the way.

Commencing Report No.9 on Chaos;Head Noah Chapter 9!

We start with Ban and Yua on their way back from investigating the Gero Froggies, and its made clear that the eyes of the enemy have already had their sights locked on Ban, the man's been getting very particularly threatening calls. Not much to comment on here, other than a sinking feeling.

Going back with Takumi, we see the immediate aftermath of the revelation from last chapter. Obviously Takumi can't handle it, even as Rimi tries to lay everything out to him, Takumi is just, he just can't take it. He's effectively thrashing in his head and at Rimi as he tries to find evidence, anything he can use to tell her she's wrong, but it only drills it in deeper.

As for Rimi, she tries to give comfort to Taku, saying she'll go out to save Nanami, telling Taku to just stay home, sit this one out and wait for her to come back so they can go back to how it always was. Leaving him to wallow there, but even as she leaves, her real feelings become clear, as tears fell from her eyes, even looking back at Takumi before finally leaving.

And Takumi simply sits there, in front of what would've been his house, till the sun fully drops.

Meanwhile, we cut back to Freesia, as Ban and Yua come back to look over their findings, as Ban had already requested Momose to look into FaithWorks beforehand. Though they try to urge Yua to go back home as the info they have would put her life at risk, she seems adamant, for the sake of her sister.

Accepting this, they begin their discussion. As I guessed, FaithWorks is a NOZOMI subsidiary, and as Momose tells us, it lines up with when the weekend GE Rate spikes have been going on. What's more, the funding for FaithWorks came from the Meiwa Party's leader, Inohana Kouzou.

One more thing, is, there's an additional pattern for the GE Rate spikes; and that is, during elections. This is also around when we learn that the Meiwa Party managed to beat the LDP last election, and is the current ruling party of the country.

After a bit of banter, Ban then asks about Sena, and basically lets Momose and Yua know about what happened with Sena and her family, basically recapping the flashback we saw last chapter. Of course, not without reason, because it turns out, the place she was staying, the Tenjin Dorm, was not just funded by the Cosmic Church of the Divine Light, but was also previously known as Ark Heart Medical.

Remember back to when Ayase talked about her time there, when the switch happened, all of its staff were switched out, all at once. With every single doctor there getting hired at AH Tokyo General Hospital. Another thing Ban lets us know is that the direct of AH Tokyo is also, conveniently, good friends with Inohana Kouzou.

He then lets us know of Takumi's history with the hospital, being admitted at age 10, and... well, never having been discharged. Lines up with the fact of the matter, Takumi Nishijou is not "Real", after all. We also learn that Kozue's Dad was also in league with one of NOZOMI's affiliates.

Then, Ban gets a phone call. Another threat call, which Ban initially brushes off but... then they reveal they have a hostage, Suwa, and with what little time he has on call he lets them know he's being held at AH Tokyo. This springs Ban into action, telling Yua and Momose to hide somewhere while he goes to save Suwa.

Back with Takumi, the kid is a wreck, he's walking as fast as a slug and basically at his breaking point, he tries to find something to confirm that he's real. Turning to his phone, he calls Misumi, but... he only makes it worse when Misumi asks how long he's known Takumi.

He makes it to a busy road, with Misumi only reinforcing his non-existence, he tries to call home, but like Misumi, it only makes him feel worse, hell, no one's even there to call. The line is out of use.

This is Takumi's last straw, and he basically gives up, he walks onto the road, wishing for death, but of course, he's denied. There's a delusion trigger here, but I don't take it, in fact, I took no Delusions through this entire chapter.

After what will turn out to be his first attempt, we cut to Rimi on a phone call with, who's without a doubt Shogun. Against his wishes, Rimi seems deadset on both saving Rimi, and stopping NOZOMI herself, coming up on where it seems Noah II is stored.

Back with Takumi, his spiral only gets worse, as he tries to hang himself with a plastic chord but... even this try fails. It hurts to see him like this.

Anyhow, we check in with Ban, he's made his way to AH Tokyo, but he's not alone, Yua seems to have followed, much to his chagrin, he chastises her on this but its cut short by the squeak of a wheelchair and Ban catching a glimpse of a man running up the stairs, giving chase.

He then makes it up top, to a rooftop garden, catching his breath, he's got nothing but bad feelings here. Then, he spots something on a bench, bracing himself for the worst, he approaches, though the CG is a lot more clear on what it actually is (a Darth Spider mask) the darkness of night makes it look like a severed head, which fills Ban with a form of righteous rage, and as he inches a bit closer——

A gunshot.

It takes Ban a bit to recognize who it was for.

A quick check with his hand confirms it though, himself.

He drops to the ground as the pain kicks in. He then hears footsteps make their way towards him, the same ones he heard earlier, when he does, whoever it is speaks, and its the voice of someone Ban knows fairly well, its Suwa.

Ban has a good laugh about it, using the last of his strength to look at the sky, and give Ban his equivalent of a "well played", before Suwa takes him out.

May the Divine Light save you, sir.

Well ain't that a bitch?

We cut back to Takumi, he's in a chat, just spamming "Kill me" over and over, Grimm joins in, and lets him know of a "Festival" set to happen at the scramble crossing, entirely ignoring Takumis breakdown.

Turning off his PC, he grabs his Seira figure, and holds it close to him, all the while a familiar voice nags at him outside the Base. After he notices, he opens the door, only to find Nanami.

Back with Yua, she's waiting outside of the lobby of the Hospital, hoping that Ban comes back, culprit in cuffs, so she can get her answer on why her sister. Then, Yua gets a familiar feeling, getting watched, she looks around, trying to find the source of the gaze— until she sees it, a girl at the entrance of the hospital, a near perfect mirror of her, just without glasses. It's Mia Kusunoki.

Yua runs after her.

Inside the hospital, she chases after her sister, after a bit of running she catches up to her. As she does, the, likely delusion of Mia, begins fucking with her, proposing, no trying to state that Yua could be Mia and Mia could be Yua, trying to blame Yua for the death of Mia, that in her hatred of her sister for how she was treated she hired an assassin to have and—— okay sorry this is more funny than tragic because its so much bullshit "Mia" throws her way.

But given the situation, Yua's emotions, and the tech at play, it still seems to affect her, and she begins to doubt her very identity as being Yua Kusunoki, and the two effectively become one for a bit as "Mia" leads Yua to the roof.

She is set to follow in her sisters footsteps and footfalls atop the Tokyo AH General Hospital. She and Mia stand at the edge, arms outstretched. The question of which is which seemingly wholly irrelevant at this point as Yua takes a step and—

A gunshot interrupts the sync, Yua snaps back to her senses, grasping at the fence, narrowly avoiding a brutal plunge. She looks to the distance, at the scene of Suwa killing Ban. "Mia" becomes angry with Yua, as Yua reaffirms who's who, then asking "Mia" or rather, the delusion of her what she is.

"Mia" answers

I am what you wished for.

You are what I wished for.

as she grabs her sister by the throat, strangling her.

Yua struggles against her sister, trying to grasp something anything, but only feeling the air.

She tries to break free but "Mia" much too stronger.

She's sees, hell, she thinks, nothing but red, in a frenzy she shakes her glasses off her face. The two were indistinguishable at this point.

Yua looks away from her sister, not wanting to see the anger on her sisters face, looking to the plants of the rooftop garden.

In those plants however... was a shadow. It looked to be an illusion, a mirage of the mind, but in spite of that, in spite of her seeming acceptance of her death, she reached out to the illusion.

She grasps onto it, and in an instant, her everything becomes clear, and a rain of red petals is blown away.

Yua catches her breath, and looks to the newfound weapon in her hands.

What follows is a scene
all too elegant, all too sharp
all too immaculate, all too vigorous
all too delicate, all too profound
and so beautiful, it beckoned tears from all who laid eyes upon it (me)

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOO

Yeah Yua has a fucking Di-sword now and it looks SO FUCKING COOOOOOOOOL

She then cuts down her sister, seemingly coming to some kind of terms with her death. With the illusion dispersed, who was thought to be her sister is revealed, in truth, to be another Porter. He's shocked by the sheer amount of cool Yua just radiated, and he tries to run away, but his Porter pack is destroyed by a surprise reinforcement, who I really should've remembered was here, its Ayase, still in her jammies, God Bless her for that.

Back with Takumi, in spite of Nanami's appearance, he is still tweaking like a motherfucker.

As for Rimi, she makes her way into the building, all alone. Coming up on a soundproof door, she psyches herself up, before bursting into the room.

Noah II shows itself in front of her, already operational.

Rimi is shocked, before a voice comes in, Gen'ichi Norose, the mastermind of Project Noah.
And a guy who I, to be honest, give no shit about.

What's more important though is Nanami, the real Nanami, in a sorry, bloody, and likely demented state, as she is crucified upon some sort of device resembling a cross. After a bit of back and forth between Norose and Rimi, Nanami is let go and falls onto the ground, she looks to Rimi, asking her where her beloved Bangle is. Rimi tries to tell Nanami everything alright and that she has the Bangle but, Nanami doesn't seem to register this, she's under the effect of Noah II.

Nanami begins to get angry with Rimi, telling Rimi to give back her bangle, and with a pained scream, a drop of her blood transforms into a blade, one resembling a cross. Her own Di-sword.

Back with Takumi, the delusion of Nanami pleads with Takumi, bringing up her memories of Takumi from childhood. This seems to get through to Takumi, as he tries to hug Nanami, but of course. She's just a delusion, and she disappears before him, fully breaking Takumi.

As for Rimi, she isn't faring much better, she's frozen in place as Norose taunts her. We learn here that Rimi had taken the severed Hand of Nanami from Takumi's house and gave it to Shogun, who is safely keeping it in cold storage. The Nanami raises her head, with the spark in her eyes having unusually returned, Rimi flinches, then, is thrown into the dark.

Seemingly within her own head. She finds herself under an agonizingly bright spotlight as she reflects on past, not that she has much of it, in the sense that, all she has known was a torturous and claustrophobic existence, until she opened her eyes, and her "self" came to be. Though, as she says, maybe there were others before her, other Rimi Sakihatas before her.

She's like Takumi, in a sense, as within her own mind, "She" her "Self", does not exist. Then she spotted something moving in the dark, when she investigated, she found another her, dead, on the floor, she asks her, "Which number are you?".

Back to "reality", Rimi breaks down, dropping her Di-sword.

Back with Takumi, he's doing just as badly, trying to get those words out of his head, he turns to Seira to give him a way out, a way to death. Luckily for him, she seems to know a way. I expected her to lead him to just jump but it seems like there's other plans.

He's surrounded by people, it seems like Seira led him to the Scramble Crossing, they're all looking to him, just as they did at O-FRONT, it seems to be the "Festival" Grimm mentioned earlier. He walks through the crowd, they seem to make a path for him, eventually though, he comes across the press, as usual they bombard him with questions, eventually, one asks.

The true culprit is commonly referred to as "Whose eyes are those eyes?"

And there's some reasons it might potentially be you.

Takumi responds with,

It... might very well be...

The people go into a blind rage, hurling insults at him, and then beating him up, Takumi takes blow after blow and yet none of them are lethal, he drops to the ground alongside his Seira figure, who's crushed by the storm of people surrounding him.

But the people seemed to have lost interest in him. Then, he feels it again.

The tingle in his neck.

The gaze of God—

The gaze of the Shogun.

Takumi tries to hunt for him, he chastises him, saying he planned this festival, saying he's here to recreate the scenario at O-FRONT, but Shogun rebukes this.

The "Shogun" from back then wasn't me.

I don't tend to cosplay.

Unfortunate, I for one think he'd rock a Palpatine one, or Yoda. Honestly either works.

Either way, Shogun gives him the rundown. The enemy's plans are already in motion, soon the spark that is lit here in Shibuya will light a flame that will usher in the death of human agency, and Takumi, Takumi Nishijou, is the only thing capable of stopping that.

Takumi stands up, looking to the frenzied crowd, beating the shit out of each other like its a free for all. The Scramble become more akin to an arena as mankind beat and berate each other all around Takumi and Shogun.

A rock hits Takumi in the head, a Gunshot rings out, the situation is rapidly deteriorating by the second.

Then, Shogun once again meets with Takumi, face to face.

Here, the truth is finally revealed.

"Whose eyes are those eyes?" Why, those are yours.

The Gaze of God.

17 Year Old, Nishijou "Shogun" Takumi. Creator of the 18 Month Old Delusion, Nishijou "Esper Boy" Takumi.

Shogun makes no excuses for himself as he urges Takumi to stop Noah II, but Takumi vehemently resists his pleas, "Why can't you just get Rimi to do it?" But Shogun tells him she has been captured in her effort to save Nanami, she also tried to save Takumi too, and we flash to when it seems like Takumi "Shogun" first met Rimi.

They meet under a blue sky, a sky so blue it makes her want to cry. A sky that someone wished for, that Shogun, wished for. It's an ethereal moment, like a meeting at the beginning of the Earth. Rimi is confused at how Shogun even made it here, but he tells her that their Delusions had synchronized.

Before this, Rimi says that she's been trying to kill her heart, just like she has done before, but since this witnessing this sky, she asks Shogun if she can engrave this in her own mind, so the next Rimi may form it herself.

Shogun disagrees with this, asking if she wants to see a real sky. In response, Rimi asks what the real sky is like, Shogun says there is, though a lot more polluted. Rimi asks where it could be, Shogun simply replies

"Wherever you wish it to be."

Rimi asks if its okay for her to wish for it, and then asks how.

Shogun tells her

Light is composed of electromagnetic waves. The ocillations of these waves are what people percieve as color. If you apply the color you desire to your own dead spots... you can create the color of the world you desire. The world... will meet your wishes.

We then jump several days later, learning that Shogun and Rimi were both hospitalized here, though Rimi was released early.

Something I'd like to note, is just how gentle and melancholic Takumi "Shogun" Nishijou is compared to Takumi "Esper Boy" Nishijou, though Shogun has done questionable things, in all instances of the real Shogun, he has never aimed to be malicious towards Takumi, by this point it's clear that he isn't the NewGen culprit and with that in mind all of his actions, all of his words it was truly to get Takumi on the right path, its a shame his other self, didn't, couldn't listen.

Rimi visits Shogun, Nanami, who seems to have been taking care of Shogun, leaves to do laundry. After Nanami leaves, Rimi asks Shogun how long he's been hospitalized, he replies with 5 years, she asks if Shogun if he has an estimate on when he'll be discharged, Shogun says no, he only has 2 years left to live. Rimi thanks him for helping her escape her mental hell, for saving her life.

But, Rimi still wants to help Shogun, to be his strength, to repay him in a sense. Shogun refuses, as he wishes for her to live a normal life, but Rimi replies that she doesn't know how, and the flashback ends.

Everything she felt, Takumi remembers it all.

Takumi asks why Rimi approached her, Shogun said because she wanted to watch over Takumi, to protect him. Shogun tells him not to resent her for that, stating

She's a hopeless meddler, that's all.

Takumi notes the tinge of sadness in Shogun's voice.

This seems to give Takumi the push he needs, as he asks who is holding Rimi and Nanami. Shogun lets him know about Norose.

Then we get Shoguns end of Rimi's phonecall from earlier, after this, Takumi wonders why Rimi is still fighting so hard, then he remembers back to the times he had with her. The support she gave him, the hope for a normal life, to have fun, to walk, to talk, and go places together, to simply live.

And Takumi, in spite of the nature of his existence, in spite of the fact that he is nothing but a delusion, still aims to be true to the feelings he has towards Rimi. Everything, even himself, may have been a delusion but his feelings towards Rimi, her feelings towards Takumi, and the experience they had together, were real, probably one of the few truly real things in the world.

Shogun asks him to save the world

Takumi refuses

Takumi hates Shogun

and Shogun envies Takumi

But Takumi will still do what must be done, not for the world, but for Rimi.

The sounds of the chaos return to him, the Scramble turned Arena returns to focus.

Takumi asks Shogun what he already knows, how to get his Di-sword.

Takumi searches around, looking through the chaos, before finally spotting it.

After further assurance from Shogun, Takumi reaches for his blade. Grasping it.

It was neither cold nor hot.
Neither hard, nor soft.

The air ripples, resisting Takumi's grasp like a stone to a driven-in sword, but eventually it gives in, and the blade makes it to Takumi's hand.

All too long to be called a sword? No, the blade is just long enough.

Delicate enough to shatter at a moment's notice? No, its sharp enough to cut through the bullshit.

Pervaded with phantasmal elegance

Lacking any meticulous features; absent of all garishness. Filled with nothing but purpose.

With an immaculate malice, capable of swallowing one's soul whole.

On which belonged an awe inspiring beauty.

Linking with Takumi's exhalted heart, the design of sinister flames on the handle flickered.

The blade was light as a feather in his hands.

Takumi realboots his sword, finally bringing it to reality for the first time. Aweing many around him, to the point that some even stop fighting just to bask in it.

Shogun tells him his target, the Porters, and lets him know of the Hints he has been given, the Memories that have been carved into his mind. Then they reveal the cut ins we've been getting are in fact real, flashes of various moments, from Ayase on the footbridge, Kozue burning her old clothes, a Ban and Suwa at a precinct meeting, Yua emailing Takumi, Yua and Ban at the Gero Froggy Store, Nanami at Noah II, the Inspectors in Shibuya, Ban watching the security camera recording of Sena, Sena striking down the Porter, and NOZOMI meeting that introduced them into the fray.

As Takumi puts it

Huh... Guess I'm a peeping tom, how in character...

Shogun quickly moves to give him commands, like a confident general with their most trusted warrior. He tells Takumi how to mentally sniff out the Porters, to open his mind just like how Kozue does.

Of course, he's not as smooth with it as Kozue. All the negative emotions and feelings of the people around him flood in, a myriad of obscene emotions and feelings rush into his head, however, he manages to find it, the sound of the Porters, the same sound that Seira told him of. Though, it seems like theres more than one Porter in the area, three as Shogun lets him know.

Then, without a hitch, Takumi gets to work.

He rushes down the first Porter, as the hordes of people clear out to make a path for his assault, he takes him out with a singular swift strike.

On to the next. Takumi hunts down the next Porter, he spots Takumi coming for him and tries to blend into the crowd.

It's all for naught.

Takumi throws his Di-sword, like a missile on target it pierces the Porter's rucksack.

One left.

And one who was very familiar, Hazuki Shino, or as Takumi is more familiar with, Grimm.
Yeah no I was caught entirely off guard by this, genuinely blindsided, hell, the idea never even occured to me that Grimm was more related to the killings than I thought. I can give nothing but applause over this, awesome work.

Shogun lays out the evidence for Takumi, and he puts the rest together. Nurse Hazuki, is the NewGen culprit. Takumi looks in to confirm, and its right on the money, Case No.2 Man Child, Case No. 5 Numbskull. Takumi projects this all onto the Jumbotrons as well, letting it all out to the public.

Takumi, Neidhardt, asks Grimm why she did it, she can only respond with cultist garbage, before taking a scalpel to her throat, and cutting, not before repeating another mantra.

Her corpse then becomes a public punching bag as people start kicking it relentlessly.

With the Porters down, and the chaos relatively subsided, the press swarm Takumi. Of course he's having none of it, he lashes out, telling them all of what he truly was, telling them all that he's a freak, a bum, and a loser. It's half-crashout and half reclaimation of his own agency, his ability to choose for himself.

However, a light appears over the sky.

Shogun is caught off guard, The Third Melt has begun as the ground rumbles with overwhelming force, as everything goes white, ending the chapter.

This has been nothing short of fantastic, from the build up to the execution, I love basically all of it. Takumi being in such a horrific stupor, having two suicide attempts, and generally being in a horrific state topped off by the gut punch of the delusionary Nanami makes him getting the Di-sword hit so much harder, and the scene just before the start of the Third Melt being such a fitting way for Takumi to reclaim his ability to choose, his ability to decide how he does things, its a beautiful moment.

Not to mention, this isn't the only awesome moment, Yua's Di-sword summoning earlier on was such an awesome moment, granted not as hype as Takumi's is still such a wonderful moment that works to cap off her struggle to find closure on the death of Mia.

The scenes we get of Shogun and Rimi are heartwarming but so painfully melancholic, I don't know the exact reason as to why but it just, its the kind of shit that makes you attached to a ship man, I don't know, but its so fucking good.

The designs for the Di-swords as well is just the cherry on top of all of this, I think my rankings for the Di-sword designs right now is;

1 - Kozue
2 - Nanami
3 - Takumi
4 - Rimi
5 - Yua
6 - Sena
7 - Ayase

Honestly, the design of all the Di-swords is just so fucking cool, you couldn't really bring me to dislike any of the weapon designs, though I do think Ayase's Di-sword is a bit lacking compared to everyone elses, but thats neither here nor there.

Now then, FIND THE BLUE FINALLY FUCKING PLAYING, THAT TOPPED OFF THE ENTIRE MOMENT WITH TAKUMI'S DI-SWORD HANDS FUCKING DOWN, THAT'S MY FUCKING ESPER BOY BRO, its just nothing short amazing. God, I can't wait to see what the ending for Common Route has to offer, now then.

Commencing Report No.7 on Chapter 7 of Chaos;Head Noah!

After the roller coaster ride that was Chapter 6, Chapter 7 acts as our much needed aftermath following show at O-FRONT. Starting us off with Ban observing Sena take down another one of NOZOMI's Porters, witnessing first hand both the hidden hands at play and the strange powers at hand.

This is followed by a cut to Takumi, whom, following his failed awakening at O-FRONT, has a memory of Nanami. While I was never fully convinced that Nanami had died there atop O-FRONT, this was still a sad moment to see as Takumi shows his true thoughts on his sister, for as nagging as she was, she is one of the few people who actively cared and looked out for Takumi.

Yet, he has rejected her support at almost every turn of his life so far, as seen when he smacks away the tray full of curry, which, look man I don't care how shit Hospital food but c'mon that was curry that had to be a little good you know? Anyways.

Takumi wakes up in a hospital bed in a very, very monochrome room, and then we see what happened following him finding the Darth Spider costume where Shogun once was. He's suddenly swarmed by the press throwing question after question at him, back at this moment in Chapter 6 there was a whole damn crowd just below at the scramble watching him. I first thought it was a Delusion but seeing what happens after that unfortunately doesn't entirely turn out to be the case.

There's a Delusion Trigger here, I took the negative one. Which sees Takumi getting lambasted by Hazuki, fun.

Snap back to reality, Hazuki, his nurse, then tells him that someone came to visit him while he was out, though, Takumi is too busy lamenting and cursing himself over Nanami to fully process what she said, telling Hazuki that Nanami had died. This causes her a bit of Confusion as the person who came to visit called Takumi "Big Bro", and Takumi knows only one person in his life that'd call him that. That's right, Nanami is alive, which gives Takumi a wave of relief.

We then cut to Ban and Suwa as they're at another meeting at the precinct. Ban gets up to present some interesting evidence which puts into question the temporal consistency of the group dive, of course this is dismissed because while its a weird inconsistency its a bit too strange to really make use of, even Ban agrees, he's not even sure what that fact about the Group Dive would even mean for that murder.

Back to Takumi, he sneaks out of the Hospital and back to the base to check up on the Hand that Shogun had mailed him, but the damn thing seems to have completely disappeared, though interestingly the mail Shogun sent his way was still there.

This is when its confirmed that yes that show at O-FRONT did happen, which, shit. Not to mention he's been doxxed on @chan, making the man basically public enemy No.1 for the time being, worse still, another NewGen murder, bringing the case count to 6 so far. In spite of this though, Takumi is still desperately looking for Rimi so he still goes to school, bad choice, but to be honest what the hell can he even do at this point.

Anyways, the expected happens, his classmates shit on him and, as expected, Misumi is keeping his distance. Which, as much as I'm not happy about it I can see where he's coming from. This makes Takumi almost lose it and we get another Delusion, this time I took a positive one, because he definitely needed it. I expected this one to be a bit crazy but the ending was kind of funny, anyways.

After the Delusion, Takumi just starts fucking losing it, the kid's spiraling and spiraling and spiraling. He gets up from his seat, does his signature Chud laugh (seriously I don't know how his VA does such a good job at making sound like a Chud its one hell of a talent God bless you Hiroyuki Yoshino.) But, someone gives him a little bit of encouragement, from one mind to another, literally. The voice refers to itself as Kozupii, this makes it very clear who's giving him the Charles Xavier special, its Kozue.

Very happy to see her finally kick into the story, and later on in this Chapter they really let her hit the ground running, quickly become one of my favorites next to Sena and Ayase.

Now then, cutting back to the Gumshoe. Ban and Suwa take a visit to Momose, trying to hunt for more leads from the Scientific Angle. Momose has been tracking the GE rate of Shibuya over the past few years, something odd she points out is the spikes in GE rate, on holidays it totally dips but at two points the damn thing spikes, these spikes coincided with the small earthquake I mentioned a while ago back in Report No.05-3, and the recent SI5 Earthquake.

Not to mention the EM wave that knocked out most electronics, which both me and the trio of Ban, Suwa, and Momose here seem to agree played some part in the unusual number of deaths from this quake.

One thing they're sure of is that the quakes, both the one a while back and the one now were likely manmade, the question is, which man made it? Momose has no leads but Ban seems to have a hunch, though, to be honest, I wasn't able to figure out his question of who could benefit from a high GE Rate on Weekends.

Back with Takumi, he tries to find Rimi again, but to no avail. So he just goes out to go home.

There's a moment here where he pleads to whoever could be controlling him, to reset the game and give him a better start but... hey man, not much I can do from the chair here, that's just how it is.

Anyway, he bumps into some dudes who then proceed to jump him. However, someone comes in to get these guys off his back. Turns out, its Kozue! Though, in the middle of her giving these guys the smack down, we get a... dire, cut in.

Shogun sits in a hospital room, the golden glow of the afternoon creeping in from the window. Someone opens the door and lets themselves in.

It's Rimi... sad to say I wasn't entirely surprised, it seems her appearance at the Crucifixion was neither a delusion nor random chance. I'm more saddened, than anything. Rimi seems sad too, requesting permission to "erase" Takumi, but Shogun... refuses. He's not done with him yet and it seems like he has something he has to see through to the end, something that I assume will be bad for pretty much everybody, given Rimi's words following this.

Cut back to Takumi being rescued. We get a lot of time to figure out Kozue's deal as she helps Takumi along with recovering from the beating he was handed. Going to rest somewhere in ROFT, also, it turns out she was there at the O-FRONT show, heard everything Takumi was thinking.

Once inside Kozue decides to show off her awesome fucking slab of tungsten she calls a Di-sword, before the two rest on some empty stairway. We get some info into Di-swords and how they blend into the environment, later on we learn that it seems like that once spotted the shape of the Di-sword can be seen almost everywhere by the individual set to wield one. Like a form of pareidolia.

Other than that I have no fucking clue how to describe what Kozue means when she says she wished for the Di-sword, all I know is that she wants to kill and that's a very respectable wish.

After Takumi's understandable horror at this information though we get a cut to the close past, after Kozue moved to Tokyo.

The rain's falling like a motherfucker, just like how its raining hard right now as I write this, but she's walking down the street when she finds some homeless guy talking about the end of the world, at first this guy looks like Takumi but after a picture they take later on he more looks like Sena, I wonder what happened to her dad. Anyways, he seems to be accustomed to Kozues astral projectelepathy and gives her some good pieces of advice regarding the Di-sword, its all a bit vague but Kozue seems to innately actually understand it, I think I do too but I don't know if I can articulate it.

More importantly though, he tells Kozue, to keep out for



This unsettles Takumi and he GTFOs to Kozue's dismay, but she manages to catch up to him. There's also someone else, and it turns out to be Sena!

What follows next is both cute and critical, as Sena gives us the rundown on Gigalomaniacs, wielders of the Di-swords. She states that Gigalomaniacs are capable of interfering with the "Dirac sea", or a Ayase would put it, the "Transcendental Plane", the Dirac sea is also a real scientific model, although theoretical.

Essentially Gigalomaniacs use seem to use the Di-sword to, as Sena puts it, "expand the channel between ones Di-Sword and the Dirac sea" which let particles and anti-particles through that are converted into electronic signals and sent into peoples Dead Spots, which allows them to be perceived and recognized by others, letting a delusion become real.

At least that's my understanding of it I could have entirely misread this like an idiot but hey what happens happens.

Takumi also gets more hints on how he can fully acquire his Di-sword but that initial Gigalomaniac explanation took a lot out of me so I'll just try to skip over the explanations.

We get a few more cute moments, Takumi getting a "You win!" on his Popsicle stick, much to Sena's jealousy.

Then all 3 taking a cute picture together at a nearby arcade.

After Kozue departs, Sena also lets Takumi know about the moment Kozue got her Di-Sword, with some form of silent organized harassment as multiple people target her with mirrors Don Quixote style, culminating in her murking three of her classmates with her Di-sword, later asking herself in the mirror, "Who are you?" the question she was harassed with on top of the mirrors. Similar to a certain phrase regarding... "Eyes".

Then we get Takumi at school, along the way he spots Nanami, while he's glad she's alive and well he's been avoiding her cause he might bawl his eyes out, but he finds the courage to approach her, as he does though. Nanami adjusts her hair, and on her right hand, is a bandage. Ending off the chapter.

I will say, I am so fucking happy we got to see Sena, her and Kozue are really cute together and Kozue as of now, while being late into the story, is a really fun character, and has become one of my favorites among the cast.

Sena as well, seeing her more laid back makes me like her character a lot more, she's very focused, kind of non-chalant, and is very much plagued by resting bitch face which all combine to make her scary to approach but once we get to her she's basically like a proper big sibling, its nice.

The explanation on Gigalomaniacs is nice, I like the use of the Dirac sea and the parallels to how Ayase explained it back then.

I think there was also a NOZOMI cut in I forgot to mention with I think the central guy from the giggleshits meeting, he seems to have a Gigalomaniac on his side who I think is Nanami given the Gero Frog he throws into the bin, though now that I think about it there's a better chance it could be Yua, or her sister, Yua's been MIA for a while now so anything can happen with her.

That said, very solid follow up to Chapter 6.

Commencing Report No.8 on Chaos;Head Noah, Chapter 8!

If there is one phrase I can ascribe to this chapter, it is;
Well, ain't that a bitch?

Lets start with the intro, Ban, Momose, and surprise surprise, Yua. One thing I'll say, Yua fits right at home with the Detective cast, it kind of makes me sad they didn't have them meet with her sooner, she bounces well off of Ban, and their few moments together are really cute.

We're told that Yua's sister, Mia, was one of the Group Dive victims, and we get a little bit of flashbacks to how she was when she still lived. Not much I can comment on regarding this, however, we are informed that the police don't really have Takumi in their sights, at least for the Crucifixion case, which is good news.

Followed immediately by bad news as Ban gets a call from Suwa, Case No.7, DQN Puzzle.

We then move back to Takumi, he's with Rimi by the park. He's a bit shaken, from last chapter, Rimi tries to comfort him but it doesn't seem to work, anyhow, Takumi wonders if he should tell Rimi about Nanami, but ultimately decides against it, mentioning it might be better to talk to Kozue or Sena about it.

They make their way back to the Base, and Takumi gets an email from Grimm telling him to get his ass on chat because Case No.7 just hit. Looking into an article about it, the victims seem to be the same three dudes that jumped him last chapter, seems like someone snatched up their bodies shortly after Kozue and Takumi left the scene, anyways, after looking at a live broadcast of a news report on it, Rimi shuts the monitor off, giving Takumi a few words of comfort.

Ever since that reveal last chapter, a lot of what Rimi does here... it just feels sad, like, its like she's clinging onto Takumi, while we find some reasons as to why she might be doing so beyond Shogun's orders, it just... I don't know.

Anyhow, we check in on Ayase, she's still in the hospital after her fall and we get a look into whatever the hell they did to her at Ark Heart. Water drip torture, all the while wearing a device which seems similar to one we'll see later. However, someone soon enters the room, its Suwa, surprisingly enough. He questions her on her motives for jumping.

Something of major note is that we get the basis of inspiration for her songs with Phantasm, the Gladioul Book of Psalms and Revelations by R. C. O. Ziegler. A name that had escaped my head until it was brought back here, it first appeared when Takumi was initially trying to find clues on how to get his Di-sword.

Anyways, after a bit more questioning, Suwa takes his leave, not before seemingly ignoring a call from either as Suwa says, his Girlfriend, or the funnier option, Ban.

Now then, back to Takumi ponders over everything that's happened, as he does he remembers what Kozue told him about that homeless guy, and thinks to look for the box he stored that old essay in, conveniently enough he brought it with him. The actual essay itself is something very interesting, a dream about an older version of himself coming to visit him in a time machine, his older self telling him God is real, something to keep note of.

Though, what's more important is the ominous drawing on the back and the equation from the very start of the story, fun^10xint^40=Ir2.

We then go back to the detectives as they analyze what Yua managed to gather regarding Takumi, they think its good stuff, though, Ban lets her and Momose know, that the cops don't have Takumi as a suspect, at least for the Crucifixion case. Ban then asks Yua about Sena but it seems like she only knows her by name, so Ban then asks if she knows anything about the tricks he saw Sena pull off on the station cameras a few chapters ago.

Interestingly, Yua lets them know she saw the conversation Ayase and Takumi had back in Chapter 4, having witnessed both her Di-sword and her delusionary clone that Takumi made. Trying to lighten the mood, Momose brings up Yua's Gero Froggy, which seems to give Ban an idea, going back to earlier chapters, its stated and reiterated here that Gero Froggies sell insanely well, and ridiculously long lines form for them when new ones get sold on Fridays, just at the end of the week.

I wasn't able to figure out his question of who could benefit from a high GE Rate on Weekends.

Seems like now I have, and to do them one better, I think the Gero Froggies are a trojan horse, remember the crazy and damn near lethal headaches people got during the SI5 earthquake?

With that out of the way, we move to Takumi, Rimi, and Misumi going to go visit Ayase, on the way though, Rimi splits off from them, leaving Misumi and Takumi to chat with Ayase. I took a positive delusion here and its really fucking funny, Takumi accidentally gives Misumi a ball check, great thinking Takumi, no one does it like you do.

Snap back to reality, Misumi is checking out the books she has with her, finding the Gladioul Book of Psalms and Revelations once again, then smack talking Ayase for being Schizo, which, how dare you, Misumi.

As he does though Takumi wonders if he can just steal Ayase's Di-swords, to which he tries to but fails as the blade hasn't been Realbooted, and Misumi looks at him funny. They then realize that they probably should've waited for Rimi to come back and then ask where Ayase's room was, dickheads.

Anyways, Takumi goes to search for her but comes across a black fucking wall, which makes him understandably shit himself. Managing to run away from the malicious game environment asset he makes it to a Nurse reception desk with Hazuki, who seems to be tweaking too hard to help Takumi. Before leaving, Takumi notices however that she left her clipboard behind, picking it up to find the same drawing of NewGen No.3 that Grimm sent him at the start of the game, that repeats over several pages before ending on, once again, "Whose eyes are those eyes."

Anyways, speaking of Kozue and Sena earlier, breaking and entering. Yeah they break into Takumi's "House", with Sena finding Takumi's essay, and the equation written behind the paper, seeing this equation causes her to go apeshit, and we cut back to Takumi, who finds Misumi staring down at Ayase and Rimi talking to one another, witnessing Ayase give Rimi a massive bitch slap with Ayase walking away after.

Takumi and Misumi intercept her on her way back and they get to talking in her room, of course, Misumi, like the coward he is, is unable to last even a second against the pure fire of esoterica and prose Ayase spits out whenever she opens her mouth, leaves Takumi to weather the flames.

Ayase once again urges Takumi to get moving and find his Di-sword, reminding him that of the divine punishment he must endure, else everybody dies, but Takumi is basically nearing the end of his rope, but she insists that Takumi most definitely is a Black Knight.

Takumi then goes with Misumi back to the lobby, finding Rimi, just before they leave though, they catch some breaking news. The NewGen culprit has seemingly been caught! Yeah this is probably a fall guy so the public can leave them alone if not that then they just got some random bum instead.

More pressingly,
Takumi gets a call from Nanami, and she pleads with him,
to give back her right arm.

This shakes Takumi, but we cut to Ban and Yua,
they're looking into the Gero Froggy, Ban buys two, presenting it under the cover of getting some for his daughter, and starts to subtly interrogate the clerk manning the store. What he says sounds like a bunch of run-of-the-mill corporate bullshit as he says the Gero Froggies are more than a product and are "Born", which seems to piss of Ban, a lot. As he cuts the convo with the Clerk there, Yua catches a suspicious unmarked white truck unloading boxes of Gero Froggies with a company named FaithWorks Limited marked on the boxes. My guess are these guys are a shell or subsidiary of NOZOMI, or an asset of that Church of the Divine Light Sena talks about.

Back with Takumi, he and Rimi make it back to the base, where Sena lies in wait. Realbooting her Di-sword she stands atop the shipping container, with Kozue pulling her leg trying to stop her.

Sena jumps from the container, landing on the ground and initiating a deadly lunge aiming to send her sword right through Takumi's chest, just before she can close the distance, Rimi gets in her way. Finally playing her hand as she brings out her Di-sword. Blocking Sena's strike.

Rimi pleads with Sena to stop, saying to not force Takumi to awaken, saying she couldn't kill him even if she tried.

Sena brushes this off as she rushes towards Rimi, as Sena swings at her, Rimi gets ready to block her strike, but its a faint, she cuts the Realboot letting the blade pass through Rimi, before rebooting and sending the blade straight towards Takumi, before she can though, she spots someone.

He's haggard, and looks a lot like Sena,

she stops in her tracks,

she shouts at the man over killing her mother.

She closes the gap, and stabs him in the chest.

But, he hugs her. Of course, this is just a Delusion, and Sena is at the edge of the Roof.

Takumi closes his eyes, waiting for a visceral "splat!" just like with Ayase, but... Rimi doesn't seem to want her dead.

Kozue is very much happy Sena wasn't killed, but pushes against Rimi's request that Sena never see Takumi again, Takumi wonders why Sena tried to kill her but he doesn't need to ponder, Sena lays it all out to him, the equation, the one that kills the worlds possibilities.

We get another NOZOMI cut in, confirming that they're using the Ir2 formula for Noah II, and that they have 5 Gigalomaniac samples with Noah II right now, as well, they lay out the inaugural experiment which will mark Noah II's completion and act as an ultimate display of its power, the Third Melt, and earthquake on the scale of the Great Kanto Earthquake with a magnitude likely rivaling its 7.9 and a kill count which will likely be unseen for years to come when it comes to earthquakes.

Back at Base, Sena continues to chastise both Rimi and Takumi, comparing the discovery of Ir2 to E=mc^2. The formula that built the bomb, as Ir2 will build the weapons of the New World Order. Kozue then cuts in saying how that hobo she saw that one time talked about this and that makes Sena lose her shit as that was probably—no, is, her dad.

We then get Sena's backstory, the horrific experiment her father performed on her mother, which acted as a key basis for Noah II, I don't have much to comment on here but yeah no I understand why Sena is gung-ho about murking her father, I wouldn't let that slide either especially if I had to WATCH IT ALL GO DOWN just like Sena did.

After this, we see Takumi and Rimi heading to Takumi's house in Shimokitazawa (ayy bocchi sorry, anyways.) Takumi is understandably unhappy with how Rimi has been, she still cares for him sure but in the end Takumi barely knows anything about her, and I imagine he won't be happy when she figures out she's been working with Shogun all this time.

As they're about to reach the house, Rimi pleads with him, that he doesn't need to check on Nanami, that they can just keep the life he has right now, a normal one, but if he did he'd never get to see Nanami or his family every again, he wouldn't be able to bring himself to if he did.

Not like it matters, as when he reaches his house. Its gone, the nameplate on the front doesn't read Nishijou and the house is a lot better than the one he remembers living in. He thinks its jamais vu but Rimi denies it, telling him a startling truth.

In this world...

...You don't have a home to go back to, Taku.

We cut to Shogun, making his way down the hospital halls, coming across the black wall from earlier. It disappears before him like a hidden passage way, behind it, behind it, a lone room. The name plate adorned to the side of its door.

Nishijou Takumi.

This is one hell of a penultimate chapter, the end was, it was something man.
The interactions between Yua and the detectives was cute, the fight between Rimi and Sena was cool, Rimi as well, it still saddens me that it seems like she's entirely powerless to stop whatever is actually going on with Takumi, and Takumi himself? Yeah they just keep throwing more shit at this man, straight up cosmically told this guy that "He is not real".

I just, I'm speechless, I looked up the chapter count for the game online and it seems like Chapter 8 will be our penultimate one for the common route, with that in mind I think its time to ask.

Which routes should I be paying keen attention to on the way to the true ending? Which, the True Ending itself I assume will be critical for kicking off Steins;Gate.

Commencing Report No.9 on Chaos;Head Noah Chapter 9!

We start with Ban and Yua on their way back from investigating the Gero Froggies, and its made clear that the eyes of the enemy have already had their sights locked on Ban, the man's been getting very particularly threatening calls. Not much to comment on here, other than a sinking feeling.

Going back with Takumi, we see the immediate aftermath of the revelation from last chapter. Obviously Takumi can't handle it, even as Rimi tries to lay everything out to him, Takumi is just, he just can't take it. He's effectively thrashing in his head and at Rimi as he tries to find evidence, anything he can use to tell her she's wrong, but it only drills it in deeper.

As for Rimi, she tries to give comfort to Taku, saying she'll go out to save Nanami, telling Taku to just stay home, sit this one out and wait for her to come back so they can go back to how it always was. Leaving him to wallow there, but even as she leaves, her real feelings become clear, as tears fell from her eyes, even looking back at Takumi before finally leaving.

And Takumi simply sits there, in front of what would've been his house, till the sun fully drops.

Meanwhile, we cut back to Freesia, as Ban and Yua come back to look over their findings, as Ban had already requested Momose to look into FaithWorks beforehand. Though they try to urge Yua to go back home as the info they have would put her life at risk, she seems adamant, for the sake of her sister.

Accepting this, they begin their discussion. As I guessed, FaithWorks is a NOZOMI subsidiary, and as Momose tells us, it lines up with when the weekend GE Rate spikes have been going on. What's more, the funding for FaithWorks came from the Meiwa Party's leader, Inohana Kouzou.

One more thing, is, there's an additional pattern for the GE Rate spikes; and that is, during elections. This is also around when we learn that the Meiwa Party managed to beat the LDP last election, and is the current ruling party of the country.

After a bit of banter, Ban then asks about Sena, and basically lets Momose and Yua know about what happened with Sena and her family, basically recapping the flashback we saw last chapter. Of course, not without reason, because it turns out, the place she was staying, the Tenjin Dorm, was not just funded by the Cosmic Church of the Divine Light, but was also previously known as Ark Heart Medical.

Remember back to when Ayase talked about her time there, when the switch happened, all of its staff were switched out, all at once. With every single doctor there getting hired at AH Tokyo General Hospital. Another thing Ban lets us know is that the direct of AH Tokyo is also, conveniently, good friends with Inohana Kouzou.

He then lets us know of Takumi's history with the hospital, being admitted at age 10, and... well, never having been discharged. Lines up with the fact of the matter, Takumi Nishijou is not "Real", after all. We also learn that Kozue's Dad was also in league with one of NOZOMI's affiliates.

Then, Ban gets a phone call. Another threat call, which Ban initially brushes off but... then they reveal they have a hostage, Suwa, and with what little time he has on call he lets them know he's being held at AH Tokyo. This springs Ban into action, telling Yua and Momose to hide somewhere while he goes to save Suwa.

Back with Takumi, the kid is a wreck, he's walking as fast as a slug and basically at his breaking point, he tries to find something to confirm that he's real. Turning to his phone, he calls Misumi, but... he only makes it worse when Misumi asks how long he's known Takumi.

He makes it to a busy road, with Misumi only reinforcing his non-existence, he tries to call home, but like Misumi, it only makes him feel worse, hell, no one's even there to call. The line is out of use.

This is Takumi's last straw, and he basically gives up, he walks onto the road, wishing for death, but of course, he's denied. There's a delusion trigger here, but I don't take it, in fact, I took no Delusions through this entire chapter.

After what will turn out to be his first attempt, we cut to Rimi on a phone call with, who's without a doubt Shogun. Against his wishes, Rimi seems deadset on both saving Rimi, and stopping NOZOMI herself, coming up on where it seems Noah II is stored.

Back with Takumi, his spiral only gets worse, as he tries to hang himself with a plastic chord but... even this try fails. It hurts to see him like this.

Anyhow, we check in with Ban, he's made his way to AH Tokyo, but he's not alone, Yua seems to have followed, much to his chagrin, he chastises her on this but its cut short by the squeak of a wheelchair and Ban catching a glimpse of a man running up the stairs, giving chase.

He then makes it up top, to a rooftop garden, catching his breath, he's got nothing but bad feelings here. Then, he spots something on a bench, bracing himself for the worst, he approaches, though the CG is a lot more clear on what it actually is (a Darth Spider mask) the darkness of night makes it look like a severed head, which fills Ban with a form of righteous rage, and as he inches a bit closer——

A gunshot.

It takes Ban a bit to recognize who it was for.

A quick check with his hand confirms it though, himself.

He drops to the ground as the pain kicks in. He then hears footsteps make their way towards him, the same ones he heard earlier, when he does, whoever it is speaks, and its the voice of someone Ban knows fairly well, its Suwa.

Ban has a good laugh about it, using the last of his strength to look at the sky, and give Ban his equivalent of a "well played", before Suwa takes him out.

May the Divine Light save you, sir.

Well ain't that a bitch?

We cut back to Takumi, he's in a chat, just spamming "Kill me" over and over, Grimm joins in, and lets him know of a "Festival" set to happen at the scramble crossing, entirely ignoring Takumis breakdown.

Turning off his PC, he grabs his Seira figure, and holds it close to him, all the while a familiar voice nags at him outside the Base. After he notices, he opens the door, only to find Nanami.

Back with Yua, she's waiting outside of the lobby of the Hospital, hoping that Ban comes back, culprit in cuffs, so she can get her answer on why her sister. Then, Yua gets a familiar feeling, getting watched, she looks around, trying to find the source of the gaze— until she sees it, a girl at the entrance of the hospital, a near perfect mirror of her, just without glasses. It's Mia Kusunoki.

Yua runs after her.

Inside the hospital, she chases after her sister, after a bit of running she catches up to her. As she does, the, likely delusion of Mia, begins fucking with her, proposing, no trying to state that Yua could be Mia and Mia could be Yua, trying to blame Yua for the death of Mia, that in her hatred of her sister for how she was treated she hired an assassin to have and—— okay sorry this is more funny than tragic because its so much bullshit "Mia" throws her way.

But given the situation, Yua's emotions, and the tech at play, it still seems to affect her, and she begins to doubt her very identity as being Yua Kusunoki, and the two effectively become one for a bit as "Mia" leads Yua to the roof.

She is set to follow in her sisters footsteps and footfalls atop the Tokyo AH General Hospital. She and Mia stand at the edge, arms outstretched. The question of which is which seemingly wholly irrelevant at this point as Yua takes a step and—

A gunshot interrupts the sync, Yua snaps back to her senses, grasping at the fence, narrowly avoiding a brutal plunge. She looks to the distance, at the scene of Suwa killing Ban. "Mia" becomes angry with Yua, as Yua reaffirms who's who, then asking "Mia" or rather, the delusion of her what she is.

"Mia" answers

I am what you wished for.

You are what I wished for.

as she grabs her sister by the throat, strangling her.

Yua struggles against her sister, trying to grasp something anything, but only feeling the air.

She tries to break free but "Mia" much too stronger.

She's sees, hell, she thinks, nothing but red, in a frenzy she shakes her glasses off her face. The two were indistinguishable at this point.

Yua looks away from her sister, not wanting to see the anger on her sisters face, looking to the plants of the rooftop garden.

In those plants however... was a shadow. It looked to be an illusion, a mirage of the mind, but in spite of that, in spite of her seeming acceptance of her death, she reached out to the illusion.

She grasps onto it, and in an instant, her everything becomes clear, and a rain of red petals is blown away.

Yua catches her breath, and looks to the newfound weapon in her hands.

What follows is a scene
all too elegant, all too sharp
all too immaculate, all too vigorous
all too delicate, all too profound
and so beautiful, it beckoned tears from all who laid eyes upon it (me)

Yeah Yua has a fucking Di-sword now and it looks SO FUCKING COOOOOOOOOL

She then cuts down her sister, seemingly coming to some kind of terms with her death. With the illusion dispersed, who was thought to be her sister is revealed, in truth, to be another Porter. He's shocked by the sheer amount of cool Yua just radiated, and he tries to run away, but his Porter pack is destroyed by a surprise reinforcement, who I really should've remembered was here, its Ayase, still in her jammies, God Bless her for that.

Back with Takumi, in spite of Nanami's appearance, he is still tweaking like a motherfucker.

As for Rimi, she makes her way into the building, all alone. Coming up on a soundproof door, she psyches herself up, before bursting into the room.

Noah II shows itself in front of her, already operational.

Rimi is shocked, before a voice comes in, Gen'ichi Norose, the mastermind of Project Noah.
And a guy who I, to be honest, give no shit about.

What's more important though is Nanami, the real Nanami, in a sorry, bloody, and likely demented state, as she is crucified upon some sort of device resembling a cross. After a bit of back and forth between Norose and Rimi, Nanami is let go and falls onto the ground, she looks to Rimi, asking her where her beloved Bangle is. Rimi tries to tell Nanami everything alright and that she has the Bangle but, Nanami doesn't seem to register this, she's under the effect of Noah II.

Nanami begins to get angry with Rimi, telling Rimi to give back her bangle, and with a pained scream, a drop of her blood transforms into a blade, one resembling a cross. Her own Di-sword.

Back with Takumi, the delusion of Nanami pleads with Takumi, bringing up her memories of Takumi from childhood. This seems to get through to Takumi, as he tries to hug Nanami, but of course. She's just a delusion, and she disappears before him, fully breaking Takumi.

As for Rimi, she isn't faring much better, she's frozen in place as Norose taunts her. We learn here that Rimi had taken the severed Hand of Nanami from Takumi's house and gave it to Shogun, who is safely keeping it in cold storage. The Nanami raises her head, with the spark in her eyes having unusually returned, Rimi flinches, then, is thrown into the dark.

Seemingly within her own head. She finds herself under an agonizingly bright spotlight as she reflects on past, not that she has much of it, in the sense that, all she has known was a torturous and claustrophobic existence, until she opened her eyes, and her "self" came to be. Though, as she says, maybe there were others before her, other Rimi Sakihatas before her.

She's like Takumi, in a sense, as within her own mind, "She" her "Self", does not exist. Then she spotted something moving in the dark, when she investigated, she found another her, dead, on the floor, she asks her, "Which number are you?".

Back to "reality", Rimi breaks down, dropping her Di-sword.

Back with Takumi, he's doing just as badly, trying to get those words out of his head, he turns to Seira to give him a way out, a way to death. Luckily for him, she seems to know a way. I expected her to lead him to just jump but it seems like there's other plans.

He's surrounded by people, it seems like Seira led him to the Scramble Crossing, they're all looking to him, just as they did at O-FRONT, it seems to be the "Festival" Grimm mentioned earlier. He walks through the crowd, they seem to make a path for him, eventually though, he comes across the press, as usual they bombard him with questions, eventually, one asks.

The true culprit is commonly referred to as "Whose eyes are those eyes?"

And there's some reasons it might potentially be you.

Takumi responds with,

It... might very well be...

The people go into a blind rage, hurling insults at him, and then beating him up, Takumi takes blow after blow and yet none of them are lethal, he drops to the ground alongside his Seira figure, who's crushed by the storm of people surrounding him.

But the people seemed to have lost interest in him. Then, he feels it again.

The tingle in his neck.

The gaze of God—

The gaze of the Shogun.

Takumi tries to hunt for him, he chastises him, saying he planned this festival, saying he's here to recreate the scenario at O-FRONT, but Shogun rebukes this.

The "Shogun" from back then wasn't me.

I don't tend to cosplay.

Unfortunate, I for one think he'd rock a Palpatine one, or Yoda. Honestly either works.

Either way, Shogun gives him the rundown. The enemy's plans are already in motion, soon the spark that is lit here in Shibuya will light a flame that will usher in the death of human agency, and Takumi, Takumi Nishijou, is the only thing capable of stopping that.

Takumi stands up, looking to the frenzied crowd, beating the shit out of each other like its a free for all. The Scramble become more akin to an arena as mankind beat and berate each other all around Takumi and Shogun.

A rock hits Takumi in the head, a Gunshot rings out, the situation is rapidly deteriorating by the second.

Then, Shogun once again meets with Takumi, face to face.

Here, the truth is finally revealed.

"Whose eyes are those eyes?" Why, those are yours.

The Gaze of God.

17 Year Old, Nishijou "Shogun" Takumi. Creator of the 18 Month Old Delusion, Nishijou "Esper Boy" Takumi.

Shogun makes no excuses for himself as he urges Takumi to stop Noah II, but Takumi vehemently resists his pleas, "Why can't you just get Rimi to do it?" But Shogun tells him she has been captured in her effort to save Nanami, she also tried to save Takumi too, and we flash to when it seems like Takumi "Shogun" first met Rimi.

They meet under a blue sky, a sky so blue it makes her want to cry. A sky that someone wished for, that Shogun, wished for. It's an ethereal moment, like a meeting at the beginning of the Earth. Rimi is confused at how Shogun even made it here, but he tells her that their Delusions had synchronized.

Before this, Rimi says that she's been trying to kill her heart, just like she has done before, but since this witnessing this sky, she asks Shogun if she can engrave this in her own mind, so the next Rimi may form it herself.

Shogun disagrees with this, asking if she wants to see a real sky. In response, Rimi asks what the real sky is like, Shogun says there is, though a lot more polluted. Rimi asks where it could be, Shogun simply replies

"Wherever you wish it to be."

Rimi asks if its okay for her to wish for it, and then asks how.

Shogun tells her

Light is composed of electromagnetic waves. The ocillations of these waves are what people percieve as color. If you apply the color you desire to your own dead spots... you can create the color of the world you desire. The world... will meet your wishes.

We then jump several days later, learning that Shogun and Rimi were both hospitalized here, though Rimi was released early.

Something I'd like to note, is just how gentle and melancholic Takumi "Shogun" Nishijou is compared to Takumi "Esper Boy" Nishijou, though Shogun has done questionable things, in all instances of the real Shogun, he has never aimed to be malicious towards Takumi, by this point it's clear that he isn't the NewGen culprit and with that in mind all of his actions, all of his words it was truly to get Takumi on the right path, its a shame his other self, didn't, couldn't listen.

Rimi visits Shogun, Nanami, who seems to have been taking care of Shogun, leaves to do laundry. After Nanami leaves, Rimi asks Shogun how long he's been hospitalized, he replies with 5 years, she asks if Shogun if he has an estimate on when he'll be discharged, Shogun says no, he only has 2 years left to live. Rimi thanks him for helping her escape her mental hell, for saving her life.

But, Rimi still wants to help Shogun, to be his strength, to repay him in a sense. Shogun refuses, as he wishes for her to live a normal life, but Rimi replies that she doesn't know how, and the flashback ends.

Everything she felt, Takumi remembers it all.

Takumi asks why Rimi approached her, Shogun said because she wanted to watch over Takumi, to protect him. Shogun tells him not to resent her for that, stating

She's a hopeless meddler, that's all.

Takumi notes the tinge of sadness in Shogun's voice.

This seems to give Takumi the push he needs, as he asks who is holding Rimi and Nanami. Shogun lets him know about Norose.

Then we get Shoguns end of Rimi's phonecall from earlier, after this, Takumi wonders why Rimi is still fighting so hard, then he remembers back to the times he had with her. The support she gave him, the hope for a normal life, to have fun, to walk, to talk, and go places together, to simply live.

And Takumi, in spite of the nature of his existence, in spite of the fact that he is nothing but a delusion, still aims to be true to the feelings he has towards Rimi. Everything, even himself, may have been a delusion but his feelings towards Rimi, her feelings towards Takumi, and the experience they had together, were real, probably one of the few truly real things in the world.

Shogun asks him to save the world

Takumi refuses

Takumi hates Shogun

and Shogun envies Takumi

But Takumi will still do what must be done, not for the world, but for Rimi.

The sounds of the chaos return to him, the Scramble turned Arena returns to focus.

Takumi asks Shogun what he already knows, how to get his Di-sword.

Takumi searches around, looking through the chaos, before finally spotting it.

After further assurance from Shogun, Takumi reaches for his blade. Grasping it.

It was neither cold nor hot.
Neither hard, nor soft.

The air ripples, resisting Takumi's grasp like a stone to a driven-in sword, but eventually it gives in, and the blade makes it to Takumi's hand.

All too long to be called a sword? No, the blade is just long enough.

Delicate enough to shatter at a moment's notice? No, its sharp enough to cut through the bullshit.

Pervaded with phantasmal elegance

Lacking any meticulous features; absent of all garishness. Filled with nothing but purpose.

With an immaculate malice, capable of swallowing one's soul whole.

On which belonged an awe inspiring beauty.

Linking with Takumi's exhalted heart, the design of sinister flames on the handle flickered.

The blade was light as a feather in his hands.

Takumi realboots his sword, finally bringing it to reality for the first time. Aweing many around him, to the point that some even stop fighting just to bask in it.

Shogun tells him his target, the Porters, and lets him know of the Hints he has been given, the Memories that have been carved into his mind. Then they reveal the cut ins we've been getting are in fact real, flashes of various moments, from Ayase on the footbridge, Kozue burning her old clothes, a Ban and Suwa at a precinct meeting, Yua emailing Takumi, Yua and Ban at the Gero Froggy Store, Nanami at Noah II, the Inspectors in Shibuya, Ban watching the security camera recording of Sena, Sena striking down the Porter, and NOZOMI meeting that introduced them into the fray.

As Takumi puts it

Huh... Guess I'm a peeping tom, how in character...

Shogun quickly moves to give him commands, like a confident general with their most trust warrior. He tells Takumi how to mentally sniff out the Porters, to open his mind just like how Kozue does.

Of course, he's not as smooth with it as Kozue. All the negative emotions and feelings of the people around him flood in, a myriad of obscene emotions and feelings rush into his head, however, he manages to find it, the sound of the Porters, the same sound that Seira told him of. Though, it seems like theres more than one Porter in the area, three as Shogun lets him know.

Then, without a hitch, Takumi gets to work.

He rushes down the first Porter, as the hordes of people clear out to make a path for his assault, he takes him out with a singular swift strike.

On to the next. Takumi hunts down the next Porter, he spots Takumi coming for him and tries to blend into the crowd.

It's all for naught.

Takumi throws his Di-sword, like a missile on target it pierces the Porter's rucksack.

One left.

And one who was very familiar, Hazuki Shino, or as Takumi is more familiar with, Grimm.
Yeah no I was caught entirely off guard by this, genuinely blindsided, hell, the idea never even occured to me that Grimm was more related to the killings than I thought. I can give nothing but applause over this, awesome work.

Shogun lays out the evidence for Takumi, and he puts the rest together. Nurse Hazuki, is the NewGen culprit. Takumi looks in to confirm, and its right on the money, Case No.2 Man Child, Case No. 5 Numbskull. Takumi projects this all onto the Jumbotrons as well, letting it all out to the public.

Takumi, Neidhardt, asks Grimm why she did it, she can only respond with cultist garbage, before taking a scalpel to her throat, and cutting, not before repeating another mantra.

Her corpse then becomes a public punching bag as people start kicking it relentlessly.

With the Porters down, and the chaos relatively subsided, the press swarm Takumi. Of course he's having none of it, he lashes out, telling them all of what he truly was, telling them all that he's a freak, a bum, and a loser. It's half-crashout and half reclaimation of his own agency, his ability to choose for himself.

However, a light appears over the sky.

Shogun is caught off guard, The Third Melt has begun as the ground rumbles with overwhelming force, as everything goes white, ending the chapter.

This has been nothing short of fantastic, from the build up to the execution, I love basically all of it. Takumi being in such a horrific stupor, having two suicide attempts, and generally being in a horrific state topped off by the gut punch of the delusionary Nanami makes him getting the Di-sword hit so much harder, and the scene just before the start of the Third Melt being such a fitting way for Takumi to reclaim his ability to choose, his ability to decide how he does things, its a beautiful moment.

Not to mention, this isn't the only awesome moment, Yua's Di-sword summoning earlier on was such an awesome moment, granted not as hype as Takumi's is still such a wonderful moment that works to cap off her struggle to find closure on the death of Mia.

The scenes we get of Shogun and Rimi are heartwarming but so painfully melancholic, I don't know the exact reason as to why but it just, its the kind of shit that makes you attached to a ship man, I don't know, but its so fucking good.

The designs for the Di-swords as well is just the cherry on top of all of this, I think my rankings for the Di-sword designs right now is;

1 - Kozue
2 - Nanami
3 - Takumi
4 - Rimi
5 - Yua
6 - Sena
7 - Ayase

Honestly, the design of all the Di-swords is just so fucking cool, you couldn't really bring me to dislike any of the weapon designs, though I do think Ayase's Di-sword is a bit lacking compared to everyone elses, but thats neither here nor there.

Now then, FIND THE BLUE FINALLY FUCKING PLAYING, THAT TOPPED OFF THE ENTIRE MOMENT WITH TAKUMI'S DI-SWORD HANDS FUCKING DOWN, THAT'S MY FUCKING ESPER BOY BRO, its just nothing short amazing. God, I can't wait to see what the ending for Common Route has to offer, now then.

Happy to say, I've made it through Common Route "Silent Sky".

What you'll be reading now will be purely my thoughts on the ending and the game thus far. Spoilers ahead!

Now then,

Commencing After Action Report No.01, "Silent Sky"

It was a wonderful ending, I wasn't expecting to see Momose involved in this in any capacity but honestly its really nice to see her, damn shame she never gets to learn about Ban... Either way, glad they didn't like, forget her.

Another standout moments was Suwa's death, God, they made Suwa such a bastard, they really let him have the time of day and that was fucking great. Glad he died but man, he was a damn solid antagonist, and the way Takumi put him down had me fucking cheering, great way to make him go down.

I was happy with how they resolved the animosity between Yua and Takumi, anime figure inheritance. It's a bit funny but, really nice to see.

To be honest they really had me convinced Takumi was just going to straight up kick it against Norose, I was genuinely fully expecting him to win, the moment where we feel, basically his entire being disintegrate was such a horrific but awesome moment.

At first I misread and thought Shogun came in clutch but I kept reading and realizing I was mistaken, only for Shogun to actually come in clutch and entrust Takumi the power to just, come back. God, it had me fucking ecstatic.

Speaking of horrifying scenes. They almost got me when Takumi almost went in to rape Rimi, that was such a terrifying moment, honestly, I was surprised he didn't give in, goes to show that Takumi has not only grown but was genuinely intent on sticking to his resolution to stop Noah II and save Rimi, another win for Takugoat.

Norose's death was very satisfying, regardless of if I actually cared about the bastards motives or not, noble as they sound its still the idea thought up by a stuck-up prick with no clue of what he's talking about.

Overall, I think Silent Sky is a veru satisfying ending. I think the main thing that counts for me is NOZOMI, and Norose specifically, was fucked over. This doesn't mean I'll abandon ship though as there is still the other routes to go through, anyways.

The story as it stands? I love it, I love it a lot. Takumi is a very compelling character, though he took a while to warm up to, even with prior heads up. In the end, he turned into someone I am happy to highly rate as a protagonist, and I can't wait to see more of him in the coming routes.

As for everyone else, Silent Sky has made me very interested in everyone, Silent Sky has done well to set everyone up for the routes ahead, and like Takumi, I look forward to seeing more of them as I work through the rest of Chaos;Head Noah.

That said, as for what comes ahead? There might be a bit of delay in doing these reports in the future as major life things are occuring rn, but don't worry, soon as its all settled I should be getting back to doing these fairly quick.

As for what I'm actually doing? What I have in mind is that, I'll start going through Steins;Gate and the rest of Chaos;Head Noah's routes, switching between reporting on the two on a weekly basis, one week will be stuff on S;G, and the other will be stuff on whatever C;HN route I'm doing, (which in this case, because I am following the route guide recommended by CoZ, I'll be doing Crying Sky.)
