Either this is Mages last job, or they turn into the next Atlus. Neither of the two options are good. It’s a shame to admit, but all we can do is hope that the remake turns out well.

Re: Steins;Gate Re:Boot (General)
GUYS! IT'S HAPPENING!
Release date for Steins;Gate Re:Boot has been officially announced: 20th of August 2026
The pre-order date has also been announced, it begins tomorrow, 8th of May 2026.
It WILL be based on Elite, BUT!!! WE HAVE NEW WORLDLINES AND ENDINGS. And, If I'm reading this correctly we'll have twice as many CGs as the 360 version of Steins;Gate.
The OP for Re:Boot is here:
The sprites will also be animated, similar to how vtuber Live2D models work, using their "E-Mote" system:

From far away, so far away
A flowing river of illusion
Running with confusion
Never gone, it goes on and on.

Re: Steins;Gate Re:Boot (General)
Suzuha my love..
Uhhh hm. At first I was worried this would be 3d slop but it.. actually does look quite 2D. I dunno. Looks decent from the video but I'll need to see for myself before I can come to a conclusion I think. Glad that we've finally got a timeline on the release at least.capstasher wrote: Thu May 07, 2026 2:34 amThe sprites will also be animated, similar to how vtuber Live2D models work, using their "E-Mote" system:

Re: Steins;Gate Re:Boot (General)
I don't know about you, but this announcement actually has me a little excited for it. New endings is a really good bonus, and it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.Maypews wrote: Thu May 07, 2026 2:40 am

Re: Steins;Gate Re:Boot (General)
I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm not buying a game at full price just because now it as jiggle physics. But so far, I'm quite happy from what we got. What I said about Mages still applies.capstasher wrote: Thu May 07, 2026 2:34 amGUYS! IT'S HAPPENING!

Re: Steins;Gate Re:Boot (General)
Under "INTORODUCTION", the text
"すべての観測者へ捧ぐ、未踏の体験。
物語は再び観測される。"
apparently translates to
"The experience of an unseen path(?) is offered(?) to all observers. You will once again be able to observe (reboot)"
You guys think post-A;C copers may have been right and the new endings and worldlines may have something to do with what happened in Anonymous;Code?

Re: Steins;Gate Re:Boot (General)
From what I can gather, it seems the game will be available in three versions. The standard edition, limited edition and super limited edition. Per Gematsu, each edition contains the following;
Standard Edition (7,480 yen / 8,580 yen on Switch 2)
A copy of the game (full game card on Switch 2)
Limited Edition (12,980 yen / 14,080 yen on Switch 2)
A copy of the game
Special outer box with huke-illustrated artwork
Visual Collection art book
Soundtrack DVD-ROM
“STEINS;GATE 15th LIVE -ONE WORLD-” DVD and Blu-ray disc
Ultra Limited Edition (31,800 yen / 32,800 yen on Switch 2)
All the content from the limited edition
huke-illustrated framed illustration
STEINS;GATE All Complete Soundtrack DVD-ROM (the full soundtracks from all seven STEINS;GATE titles)
Converted to USD, the prices are roughly as follows.
Standard: 47.70$(Switch 1)/54.70$ (Switch 2)
Limited: 82.76$ (Switch 1)/89.77$ (Switch 2)
Super Limited: 202.77$ (Switch 1)/209.15$ (Switch 2)
Conversions are rarely perfect but assuming these are accurate/what they end up using if they bring it over, I think for what you get the Limited Edition is a pretty sweet deal. Only like 35$ more for all that shit? I am honestly quite tempted to buy it myself. Super Limited though...
I mean, the extra stuff in the Super version definitely cool. Like the framed Huke illustration (which I have heard is likely to be the one below) and the CD are definitely really solid inclusions, but 110$ more?? Uhh.. yeah that's kind of wild. I do hope the LE comes to the west though so that we don't have to import it, if it does I might pick it up.

Even better, they were right on the money. Look at what appears in the trailer and compare it to the A;N UI: Anonymous;Code stocks are going to the moon baby! Always believe guys, let's positive thinking!Parzival wrote: Thu May 07, 2026 8:28 am

Re: Steins;Gate Re:Boot (General)
It's been too long since I played Steins;Gate, did it talk about the 12th theory in the original? It probably did, but it's been a long time.
On the JP site it says, in the story section:
神をも冒涜する12番目の理論
―それは、俺たちが手にした偶然の産物。
The 12th theory which commits sacrilege against even god
― that is the result which we obtained by chance.
I noticed the opening movie puts focus on the other theories too. It shows:
01 Neutron Star Theory
02 Black Hole Theory
03 Light Speed Theory
04 Tachyon Theory
05 Wormhole Theory
06 Exotic Matter Theory
07 Cosmic String Theory
08 Quantum Gravity Theory
09 Cesium Laser Theory
10 Elementary Particle Ring and Laser Theory
11 Dirac Antiparticle Theory
And the 12th theory....
(That's what it says)
Kinda cool, look forward to checking this out.
